Sergeant First Class Casey Seeman continues her donation program with her monthly giving campaign called "Gift of Good". Every month she sends out an email solicitation asking citizens living within reach of alabama state troopers or their families if they would liketo make a donation specific to that month's event (e.g., car wash). She has also established contact information for local law enforcement officials who would like join her fundraising effort (e.g., state trooper barracks or sheriff's department). Alabaster is a city in Marshall County, Alabama, United States. The population was 9,912 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. Alabaster is part of the Birmingham–Tuscaloosa–Hoover Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in what would become Alabaster was William Grimes in 1821. Grimes had come from Indiana and he and his family were the nucleus around which a community grew up around Grimes' farmstead on Cove Hill Road (now Old High School Road). By 1830, there were six families living in Alabaster with Grimes as their leader and proprietor; by 1840, there were twelve families living there. In 1845, John Hightower purchased land along Cove Hill Rd., making it the town's first street grid with streets running north-south and east-west. In 1847, Hightower built a two-story brick building which still stands on Cove Hill Rd., now known as First Street NW. That same year also saw the founding of Shriners Hospital here which served as a clinic for poor farmers and their children until 1954 when it became an affiliate of nearby Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Services Research & Innovation (CHSRI). "Shriners Hospital" remains one of Birmingham's most iconic landmarks to this day - visitors can find it located at 137 North First Street NW near downtown Birmingham! Today CHSRI conducts its research at several locations across metro Birmingham including "Shriners Hospitals" successor "Birmingham Children's hospital". Just like many other places throughout history that have seen success because they embraced innovation within their communities - SHRINERS has continued doing so despite significant budget cuts over time...so our patients know we are here to stay!

Alabaster is a city in Alabama, located on the Gulf Coast of Mobile Bay. The population was 9,567 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Mobile County. Alabaster was founded in 1817 by General John Campbell and his wife, Eliza Wilkinson Campbell. A cotton gin was built here in 1821. The present day downtown area of Alabaster was established about 1830 when a group of farmers moved from Vicksburg to this area as an agricultural community near Mobile Bayou. The first store opened here in 1830 and soon outgrew its original location on Main Street; it became known as "The Gingham Store". In 1837, Colonel Nathaniel Lyon purchased land here and began construction of the first courthouse in Alabama which stood until 1893. In 1861, during the American Civil War, Confederate General Robert Ewell's army burned down much of downtown Alabaster before reaching Mobile Bayou where they were stopped by Union forces commanded by General Albert Sidney Johnston. Afterward Reconstruction began with African Americans taking back control of many aspects of their lives including education and jobs opportunities while white men were given freedmen homes and free access to property developments such as citrus orchards and other agriculture ventures that had been confiscated from them under slavery. In 1886, Alabaster celebrated its centennial with a large celebration which included parades through town streets and an outdoor boxing match between two local citizens--one black (Marcel Lewis) and one white (Fenton Waddell). In 1955-1956, due to damage caused by Hurricane Betsy, parts of downtown received extensive repair work costing $3 million dollars which included replacing brick piers with metal posts & girders; constructing new sidewalks; repairing streetlights; re-landscaping public squares; installing drainage systems for both residential areas and commercial districts; & repairs to water mains & levees
