The first Coffee Brewers in Calera were founded in 1892 by J.C. White and his sons John and Clarence. The White family operated a small grocery store on Main Street until 1911 when they opened their own coffee shop called The Cafe on Old Market Place. This business was the beginnings of what would become known as “the Cecil Coffee Company” which still operates today with its original location on Old Market Place. In 1924, Harry Kelley bought the business from Cecil White and renamed it the Kelley Coffee Company. At this time, Kelley was one of the most prominent commercial roasters in Birmingham area with his flagship store located at 11th Avenue South and State Road 205 (now Enterprise Boulevard). Over the years, he has expanded his production into multiple states including Texas and Oregon; however, his finest achievement may be his role as president & CEO of Pabst Brewing Corporation from 1978-1986 where he led the company from its modest beginning to becoming one of America’s leading beer brewers. Over time there have been numerous other owners and operators within “The Cecil Coffee Company” such as Cushman & Wakefield who ran it until 1984 when David Howells took over; Eddie Muller who ran it until 1997; Rick Perry whose ownership ended in 2001; Tim Slater who purchased it in 2007; current owner Doug Shultz who purchased it in January 2017 It should be noted that while there have been many changesover within “The Cecil Coffee Company” over time – allowing for continued professionalism throughout each individual ownership experience – one constant has been an intense focus on quality standards which continue to this day across all aspects of operations: From sourcing beans through rigorous testing processes to manufacturing products using only Fair Trade Certified coffeesourced from sustainable local farms – everything at “The Cecil Coffee Company” is done with intention to create delicious cups of Joe that reflect our core values: Community service, sustainability, quality control

Calera is a town in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. The population was 16,362 at the 2010 census. It is the third-largest town in Birmingham and one of its five villages. It is located on Interstate 65 about 20 miles west of downtown Birmingham. The first settlers in what would become Calera were white men from Georgia who arrived in 1819. They founded a small community called "Oconee" on the east side of Mobile Bayou. In 1824, they moved to what would become Calera when they bought 10 acres (4 ha) of land from General John C brandsenburg for $2 per acre. The original settlers named their town after Alexander Calder, an English artist and sculptor who had come to Mobile Bayoushippo during the 1830s looking for land to settle and found a community there. His sculpture "Heron's Swan" still stands outside the old courthouse in today's Calera village limits. In 1836, General Andrew Jackson appointed James Minton as Commissioner of Indian Affairs with the goal of opening up lands within Indian Territory to white settlement as part of his policy known as Cherokee Removal. When Minton arrived at Calera he discovered that most of the settlers there were Creek Indians who were not interested in being removed and wanted to stay put rather than leave their homes and families behind. As a result, Minton organized a meeting which resulted in approval by Jackson for the relocation of all Creek Indians living within 1 mile (1 km) of any white person or property without compensation unless they agreed to be removed forcibly by force or violence if needed). This event is generally considered to be when Calera became an incorporated village under state law.. As part of Cherokee Removal efforts, many Creeks living within 1 mile (1 km) of any white person or property were ordered to leave their homes and take whatever belongings they could carry with them into Indian Territory where they would likely have been killed if returned home alive because it was considered war time behavior for Indians not To Fallen In Peace With The whites And so They Were Killed Or Captured Alive By Us

Calera is a small town in Marshall County, Alabama. The population was 498 at the 2010 census. It is located near the border of Marshall and Montgomery counties. The first settler in Calera was James Couse in 1823. A post office was established in 1830, and the town name was changed to Malvern in 1846 because of its location on Malvern Hill. The railroad reached Calera in 1875, but there were no construction activities until 1901 when a depot and grain elevator were built by the Baldwin-Hartford Railroad. The cotton gin also opened in 1902. A mill was built by J. H. Dixon around 1907, and it continued to be used until 1941 when it was replaced by a new mill that has since been abandoned. In 1925, the Odd Fellows Lodge #769 organized a men's choir which continues to perform today under the name "Odd Fellows United Methodist Chorus." In 1951, Calera became an independent municipality with its own government and services including schools, fire department, library, police department and water system. In 1974–1975 two buildings on Main Street were renovated as part of renovations for what would become Riverview High School; this project cost $2 million dollars .
