Additionally, during Operation Neptune’s Spear Bomber Command awarded USAAF crews with RAF aircraft for flying bombing missions over North Vietnam. After the end of hostilities Arleigh Burke Avengers were transferred from USAF storage at MCAS Iwakuni Hawaii to RAF Mildenhall England for use by RAF pilots in support of NATO operations in Yugoslavia following Milosevic's seizure of power on April 6th 1998.
