The history of Tactical Coffee can be traced back to 1865, when a group of businessmen in Decatur founded the first coffee shop in the city. The company grew rapidly and soon had branches throughout Alabama. In 1935, the company merged with two other businesses to form National Coffee Company. This merger led to a doubling of sales and a move into new facilities in downtown Decatur. Today, Tactical Coffee is one of the largest coffee companies in America with over 50 stores across 11 states. The company’s mission is to provide customers with high-quality beans and products while supporting local businesses. Some of the earliest coffee beans were grown in Decatur, Alabama. The town was founded by a group of men who came to America in 1837 and started a small farm near the present day intersection of 15th Street and Griggs Avenue. They grew two types of coffee - black and brown. The first settlers in Decatur were primarily farmers, so they didn't need to get involved in commerce. This changed when railroads arrived in the area, which allowed for more trade and manufactures to come into town. As a result, Decatur became known as the "Coffee Capital of the World."
It is easy to forget that Decatur, Alabama is a small town of just over 9,000 people. Located in the central part of the state, it has a rich history dating back to when it was one of the most important cotton plantations in Alabama. At its peak, Decatur was responsible for more than 60% of the state's production of cotton. Today, however,Decatur is largely known as an agricultural center with a focus on corn and soybeans. The city also boasts some significant cultural attractions - such as the Masonic Lodge and Cotton Bowl Museum - but there are few traces of its old days as a major cotton plantation complex. The origins of Decatur date back to 1824, when General Andrew Jackson took command of Ulysses S. Grant's army during his campaign against Mobile Bayou and decided to move his headquarters from Athens, Tennessee to Huntsville. He selected Decatur as his new temporary capital because it had been chosen by him as the site for what would become the Department of War. In 1827, Jackson established permanent headquarters at this location and named it after himself -Decatur County being one of several counties included within VA District 3 (Alabama). Although Jackson never lived in Decatur – he chose instead to reside at Moccasin Bend Manor near Mobile – his legation here played an important role in shaping local government and culture. The general frequently attended public events in town and dined with prominent citizens; he even constructed a private chapel here which later served as the home ground for baseball greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. In 1829-30, whileJackson was still president, Congress passed legislation providing for tobacco settlement within VA District 3 (Alabama), including parts of present-dayDecatur County. This act gave rise to what would become one Of America's most successful slave states: By 1850, there were more slaves living in Alabama than any other southern state except Virginia! The area now comprising Decatur County was originally organized under VA District 3 boundaries but was added to AL District 2 following boundary changes resulting from federal land acquisition during Reconstruction (1865-1868). During this time period there were also important developments within Decatur itself: The first school opened its doors in 1831; Methodists began services here in 1835; brick buildings appeared on Main Street between Pine Street and Vine Street; and Drury Lane became home to many wealthy farmers who formed what is now called "the elite" around this community...all before they had even moved into their homes! In 1865-1868 additional changes occurred within VA District 3 due to troops returning from Vicksburg following General Sherman's march through that district en route toward Atlanta…including much needed land adjoining present dayDecatur County lines! These additions resulted in yet another change towards an agricultural center with industry burgeoning nearby: Coal mining started operations on Black Mountain northwest of town beginning around 1870….This helped spark an era known nationally as "The Gilded Age." Apartheid finally reached Alabama shores on October 16th 1968 when National Guardsmen opened fire upon peaceful student demonstrators occupying white collar jobs at Birmingham Southern College where future Senator Jeff Sessions had been enrolled at the time…. ensuing violence left 30 dead or wounded…..the event forever changed how we view tertiary education institutions throughout our country
Tactical coffee is a term used to describe coffee that has been prepared in an effort to achieve a specific or desired effect. In Defense of Coffee, David Roemer describes the history of tactical coffee as follows: "When first used in World War II, coffee was considered an Allied Secret Service drug and its use restricted to special operations forces. The Allies needed caffeine for their Woodstock-like raids on enemy positions throughout the war. As technology improved, however, so too did the demands for better battlefield commanders’ intelligence stimulants. One such advance was the development of coffeemakers which could be controlled through voice commands." Coffee became less secret and more available to everyone in the late 1800s when technological advances allowed brewers to create Coffeemakers that could be programmed with pre-selected doses of caffeine (between 2 mg and 8 mg). This made it possible for commanders on the battlefield to have a precise amount of caffeine available at all times without having to fumble through bottles of different strengths like they had before. With this new technology came new ways for commanders to communicate with their troops and this led eventually to espresso being added into military doctrines during World War II.

Decatur, Alabama is a city in central Alabama and the county seat of Decatur County. As of the 2010 census, the population was 51,924. The city was founded on October 14, 1836 by General Andrew Jackson as part of the Union army's march to Montgomery, Alabama. It became an important seaport for cotton exports and had a large slave trade until secession in 1861. After the Civil War it grew rapidly as a manufacturing town and today is home to many high-technology companies such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing Co., and ATK Inc. The name "Decatur" comes from its founder's belief that "the best way to do things in America is through education." In 1835 Decatur was renamed Fort Scott after General Scott's Creek Campaign against Native Americans; however this name reverted back to Decatur in 1857 when Fort Scott was re-designated Camp Butler after Major-General Anthony Butler commandant at that post during the Indian Wars. In 1850s Decatur developed into one of the leading towns in central Alabama for cotton production. Its mills were among those started up during Reconstruction following the Civil War. Cotton production peaked around 1900 but has since declined due to disease, mechanization, and other reasons. Today Decatur remains an important center for research into renewable energy sources and green technology development
Decatur was founded in 1836 by John Decatur and the city's first mayor, James Lane. The town grew rapidly after it became a stop on the Alabama Railroad, and in 1851 it incorporated as a municipality. In 1871, Decatur became the county seat of Clarke County. It lost its status as the county seat in 1930 when Mobile moved to become the new county seat.
