The Marine Corps has always been a part of the American landscape, and its history is reflective of that. The Corps was founded on December 6, 1875, when Marines served in the Spanish-American War as soldiers under General John J. Pershing. In World War II, the Marine Corps became one of America’s most important fighting forces and supported both Allied and Axis forces during the war. After World War II, Marines continued to serve in many capacities within the Armed Forces through various wars and peacekeeping missions. Today, Marines are still an essential part of American society and play a vital role in our military efforts around the world. Walker Jr.-commanded unit responsible for all aspects of Ground Combat Operations in Iraq/Syria/Afghanistan (GCOI), Regional Support Commands (RSC), amphibious assaults worldwide including Operation Neptune Spear – USS George Washington Battle Group 2-3rd Battalion 5th Marines (Langley Beach) – Expeditionary Unit(s) element(s) located afloat or ashore conducting security operations pursuant to my orders or those delegated to me by higher headquarters; Air Force Escort Squadron TWO-Eagle aircraft providing airlift services from MCB Jacksonville for Naval Special Warfare Units Detachment 4 North Carolina; Asymmetric Warfare Squadron One – Futenma Class Destroyer USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group Asymmetric Warfare Squadron One “Futenma Class Destroyer USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group” is a squadron composed of ships configured as Attack submarines carrying conventional torpedoes instead of nuclear weapons capable of sinking large warships such as battleships or carriers while they are underway or at anchor off Japan's coast. The squadron was activated on 8 Mar 2009 from Decommissioned submarine USS Tang with two Yokosukaclass attack submarines converted into "Futenma" class destroyers: Hizen class tanker "Yokosuka UH8DE" (#0027) and Akagi class destroyer "Kaga" (#0028). There has never been a more important time in Marine history than now. The world is on the brink of a major crisis and our men and women at sea are ready to fight for their country and protect its people. The Marines have always been an essential part of the American military, but they have become even more so in the past decade. With Operation Neptune’s Spear continuing to claim lives and casualties, it was clear that something had to be done to improve readiness and ensure that marine units could respond quickly if called upon. As a result, Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which provides $1 billion for Marine Corps Programs over FY 2019-2021. This money will help To increase equipment purchases, training programs,and infrastructure projects across all commands within the Marine Corps Commandant’s chain of command. Additionally, this legislation includes provisions for the deployment of marines abroad in support of coalition partners or other nation’s efforts. These deployments will not only provide valuable service but also help generate morale among troops who may be dealing with difficult times domestically.

Gulf Shores is a town in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. The population was 2,852 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Huntsville metropolitan area. Gulf Shores was founded in 1887 by John L. Piercy and his wife Sarah A. Piercy as a small fishing village on the Alabama River near present-day Mobile Bayou. In 1901, it became an incorporated town and remains so to this day. The first residents of Gulf Shores were fishermen who used the river for transportation to market their catches. By 1906, there were five stores and one hotel in town; by 1920, there were twelve businesses with a total population of 1,500 people. At that time, Gulf Shores had two schools - one elementary school and one high school - as well as a Post Office and three churches: First Presbyterian (1887), Methodist (1901) and Baptist (1945). In 1951, Gulf Shores consolidated with neighboring towns of Selma and Montgomery to form the Huntsville/Gulf Shores Micropolitan Statistical Area – which included all of Baldwin County except for parts of Mobile County – making it the second largest Micropolitan Statistical Area in Alabama after Birmingham/Tuscaloosa MSA . The economic success of the Huntsville/Gulf Shores Micropolitan Statistical Area has resulted in many new businesses being established within its boundaries over the years including restaurants, hotels, health care facilities and technology companies such as Apple Inc., Intel Corp., Symantec Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co., Samsung Electronics Co., Tata Steel Ltd., Coca ColaCola Bottlery Incorporated etc.; while still preserving many historic buildings fromansionism like First Presbyterian Church which stands today unchanged since 1901 despite being built on land that once belonged to another church family Today's economy is based on defense-related jobs such as engineering services and research; however, some portions of the community have seen growth into other industries including retail trade (such as Walmart), professional services (such as law enforcement), health care(including hospitals) and manufacturing (-in particular fabricated metal products). On December 10, 1815, a group of Alabama Loyalists led by Andrew Jackson and General John C. Fremont crossed the Tennessee River and began moving southward. They halted at what is now Gulf Shores on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. The town was named for its location on the shore of the gulf. On December 12, 1815, Jackson ordered Fort Moultrie to be constructed. The fort was built in 1816 and became known as Fort Morgan.
