Mobile is a city in Bibb County, Alabama, United States. The population was 576 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Bibb County. In 1820, John Crain established a toll road from Pensacola across Mobile Bay to avoid Native Americans who controlled much of what is now southern Alabama but had not yet surrendered their land to white man.
