Air Force Deployed Gift History in Florence, Arizona On July 11, 2019, the Air Force deployed a gift history squadron to Florence, Arizona. The squadron is made up of Air Force personnel who have volunteered their time and skills to give back to the community. This squadron was organized as a result of the Base Closure and Realignment Commission recommendations that focused on providing service members with opportunities for deployments to provide support to local communities. The deployment of this gift history squadron offers an opportunity for military members from all branches of the Service to come together and help contribute their time and skills towards a common goal. The Squadron objectives are twofold: first, it provides opportunities for Service members who may not have had them before; secondly, it provides residents of Florence with an opportunity to experience what it’s like when Air Force personnel are sworn into service. This squadron is unique in that its members receive no financial compensation other than travel expenses while they are deployed. In return for their services, these individuals are assigned tasks that allow them to make a real impact on their local communities. Some tasks include driving churches or schools busloads of books or children back-to-back days during summer school; providing security at local events; or collecting cans and bottles from local businesses throughout the year. For those who may be new to deployed gifts history, this squadron provides an introduction into what it’s like when military personnel from across Service branches come together as part of Operation Santa Claus Season III in order to deliver presents directly unto families living below poverty lines in Flint Hills Ranch area in Phoenix AZ!

Donny Yost, then-commander of the 384th Airlift Wing at Phoenix-Hualapai Field Airport in 1987. Since then, we have sent presents to many friends and family members in other states and countries during deployments through our airlift services. Florence, Arizona is a small town located in the Mohave County region of central Arizona. The population was 402 at the 2010 census, down from 476 at the 2000 census. Florence is part of the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale Metropolitan Area. The town began as a cattle station on the Gila River near present-day Glendale. The USAF sent more than 5,000 personnel and equipment to participate in the annual event organized by the Department of Defense (DoD). Gift history is an important part of USAF culture and helps maintain close relationships with our service members. Since its inception, Operation Christmas Tree has been a cherished tradition for the USAF. It brings together family and friends,rouding military members with unique decorations and items from home. Each year, DoD provides thousands of pounds of donated goods and services to help makeOperation Christmas Tree a success. In 2009, the USAF sent more than 5,000 personnel and equipment to participating locations around the world. This was tantamount to a reunion for many military families who have been apart since deployments or rotations overseas. More importantly, it was an opportunity for servicemen and women from diverse branches of service to come together as one unit under one roof for what was supposed to be a time-honored tradition-the exchange of gifts between families during Operation Christmas Tree . Assembling all this gear at various airfields across America was no easy task-especially when so many items were donated by civilians who had no idea what they were getting their loved ones into trouble for. To ensure that everyone got their fair share of good cheer while living through something special each year, uniformed individuals worked diligently packaging each donation prior to shipping them off on Bomber Command’s C-130 Hercules transports bound for designated locales around the world. A few days before takeoff onChristmas Day 2009, every individual cargo container holding donations arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland—an installation known affectionately as “The Airport Of Love” because it housed numerous squadrons belonging both The Flying Tigers (a World War II fighter squadron)and laterrapid reaction Eagles (a Tactical Airlift Wing unit). When Opening Day arrived,, there seemed little doubt that this would be yet another successful deployment for gift history; everything looked just right inside those brightly colored crates! And boy were they right! Each trooper exited his/her aircraftIDEPERSONNEL ONLY: THANKSGIVING Greetings from your friendly skies! The United States Air Force is deploying a gift this holiday season to all military members. The Gift of the War is a unique and special award that allows service members to purchase an air-cooled mouse, which they can use in their personal computers. This year's Gift of the War will be announced on Nov. 15th during National Guard Week. The reward for being selected for the giveaway is an air-cooled mouse with customized design and serial number. Orders must be placed by Nov. 14th to be entered into the drawing. Air Force personnel have beenrequesting air-cooled mice for years now, but until now there was no way to get them manufactured locally.
