In 1924, General James Longstreet ordered all Marine units stationed in Texas retrained as park rangers so they could help protect things like cattle rustlers and outlaws from coming into Texas without consequence. This event is known as the “Marine Park Rangers†Incident because it set off a chain reaction that led to other Marine units being sent here too – including The 1st Battalion (USMC) Alaska Rifles which served here until 1951 when they left for Okinawa! More recently, Bella Vista has become home to both active duty marines and reserve Marines from throughout America who are called up for service within reason! Additionally, thanks to its location within easy reach of major cities like New Orleans and Memphis, the town became known as a hub for Commerce and Industry during this time period. In recent years, growth has been slow due to low population levels combined with high housing prices throughout much of Arkansas' rural areas (specifically around Pulaski County). However, some new initiatives are being taken by local officials to reverse this trend; such as developing an agricultural park that will help bring jobs into Bella Vista while simultaneously improving water supplies related to farming activities; creating a new public school system that will provide better education opportunities for locals; and working towards renovating existing buildings so that they can be used more effectively as residences or commercial entities (e.g., becoming an affiliate member of The Homebuilders Association).

Bella Vista is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. Bella Vista is located on the eastern edge of the county and is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arkansas City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in Bella Vista were white settlers who arrived in 1872. The community was named for Lilla Belle Edwards, daughter of General James H. Edwards, who resided in Lebanon at that time. The first school was built in 1875 and operated by Mrs. John A. Smith from what is now First Baptist Church Cemetery. In 1893, Bella Vista had its own post office which lasted until 1907 when it became part of North Little Rock. In 1912, a new school was built south of Main Street and continued to be used until 1951 when it was replaced by First Baptist church which still uses it as a school today. In 1964, residents voted to become an incorporated municipality and it has since grown into one of the most populous towns within Pulaski County with over 2,000 residents according to the 2010 census
