The Marine Corps Deployed Gift History program has been in place since the early 1960s when Marines in Blytheville, Arkansas first became involved in the military family tradition of giving back to the community. The program provides a unique opportunity for Marines and their families to provide service to others through thoughtful and meaningful gifts. The Marine Corps Deployed Gift History program is composed of two parts: the Soldier or Fleet Marine Unit (FMU) Recipient Program and the Family Member or HouseholdMember Program. The FMU Recipient Program allows Marines who are assigned or mobilized with an FMU unit to send a gift back home to their family member or household member who is serving in uniform. Gifts that may be sent through this program include items such as books, toys, electronics, clothing, food, money, and other items that are specific to Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune or Camp Pendleton. The Family Member or HouseholdMember Program allows Marines who are not assigned or mobilized with an FMU unit but live within 1,000 miles of an FMU detachment stationed at Camp Lejeune or Camp Pendleton to send a gift back home to their loved ones who are serving in uniform. Gifts that may be sent through this program include items such as clothes, cosmetics, appliances, furniture, tools and equipment; flowers; holidays; and special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. In addition to sending a heartfelt gift back hometo loved ones served by the Marine Corps Deployed Gift History program we hope that these events will also help raise awareness about our service members and support our efforts towards Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Blytheville, Arkansas is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,193 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County and the home of Northwest Arkansas Community College. Blytheville is located on the Little Rock–New York City metropolitan area. The first settlers in what would become Blytheville were small groups of farmers who arrived around 1855. By 1860, there were some hundred people living in what would become Blytheville. In 1865, two men named Jethro Ladd and James Hays founded the town of Blytheville on land they had purchased from a man named David Waddell. The town grew quickly and by 1870 it had a population of 1,100 people. That same year, an act was passed by the General Assembly creating Pulaski County and giving it to Joseph Aiken as its first county seat. In 1875, local businessmen George Cushing and John Wills donated land to establish Northwest Arkansas Community College (now Northeast Arkansas Community College). The school began operations in 1880 with only ten students enrolled. By 1890 NWACC had grown to over 350 students with three campuses: one in downtown Blytheville and two located away from town on ranches that served as college farms – one near Fort Smith and one near Hot Springs National Park. At that time both Northwest Arkansas Community College & West Plains State Teachers' Union School District #2 operated under one administration with each school district managing its own buildings & classrooms but sharingONE STAFFORDSHIP NUMBER . This arrangement continued untilNWACC&WPTUSD amalgamated into ONE SCHOOL DISTRICT ON MAY 24TH OF THIS YEAR . Nowadays NWACC calls itself "Northeast Ark." Blytheville has experienced many growths throughout its history including becoming known for its cotton fields which still play an important role today due to their low water levels; boating capabilities available off town via canals; lumber yards open during late summer sellingLogs FromAllOverArkansas; wineries available throughout much of central Pulaski CountytowndownstreamingLake Missoula;and now also several professional sports teams including the NFL's Stroudsburg Steelers football team as well as Professional Basketball team Memphis Grizzlies playing out their seasons at AmericanAirlines Arena

Blytheville, Arkansas is a town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Eagle River Metropolitan Statistical Area. Blytheville has been called "The Cotton Capital of the World", and its cotton gin still operates today. The town was founded in 1871 by two families from Cedar Rapids, Iowa: the Jarvis family and the Ladd family. By 1880, Blytheville had become one of the most important cotton towns in Arkansas. In 1907, a group of local businessmen pooled their money to start a new cotton gin in Blytheville which became one of the largest cotton gins on the East Coast. The town's boom peaked during World War II when it produced more than 100% of allArkansas' military procurement needs for munitions and other war materials. After the war ended, however, Blytheville declined significantly due to various factors including changes in agricultural production which eliminated jobs for textile workers; economic Depression-era stricter regulations on cotton exports which destroyed muchof Arkansastate's Textile Industry;andincreased competition from other rural towns inArkansaswhichboomedduring that period."
