In 1987-1988 Sgt Hargrave also served as Commanding Officer for Unit 5 inside Patrol Division 3 headquartered at 9th & Market Streets in north Little Rock. This unit conducted several high profile investigations such as “The Death Row Murders” which ended with the conviction of four men; “The Night Stalker” case where 15 people were killed by a serial killer over a period of eighteen months; and “Bloody Sunday” when five police officers were shot dead while respond to a domestic disturbance near University Boulevard and US 70 outside of town limits
