The first coffee node in Paragould, Arkansas was founded in the early 1800s by Nicholas Roque and Joseph Bicknell. In 1811, Roque and Bicknell bought a small farm near present day Paragould and began to grow coffee. By 1816, they had erected a gristmill on the property that became known as The Coffee Mill. They produced three grades of coffee: light, medium and dark. The first commercial sale of coffee took place in 1820. In 1840, Mr. John Hogg established a grove of trees on his farm two miles southwest of town. He started roasting beans for market in 1845 and continued to do so until his death in 1865. His son-in-law, Cephas Barnes ran the business until 1886 when it was acquired by George Waddell who ran it until 1925 when it was purchased by Mr. Harry Foley who operated it until 1978 when it passed into the hands of Msgr. Rufus Puggins Jr., pastor at Holy Cross Parish (now All Saints’ Catholic Church). Today's Koffee Bean & Tea Company is one of several businesses that have been located on this site since its establishment over 450 years ago!

Paragould, Arkansas is a community in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Bentonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by Issac Purdy in 1879 and named for him and his wife Rebecca Paragould. The post office was established in 1880, and the first store opened in 1881. The community developed rapidly due to its location near the railroads and railroad lines that connected it with other communities in the area. By 1907, Paragould had a school, a Methodist church, a grocery store, a blacksmith shop, three hotels/motels (the Cottonwood Hotel (), the Majestic Palace Hotel (), and the Park View Motel ()) and two-dozen residences (). In 1950 Paragould became an incorporated municipality with a government defined by elected officials instead of by parents or children who were registered as voters within the confines of their homes. In 1960 it annexed nearby White Sands Beach which made it one of Arkansas' first planned annexations into an adjacent municipality. In 1984 Paragould Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places because its architecture represents "an important period in Arkansas history." In 1998 it received state funding to add more than 100 historically significant buildings to its inventory including six residences dating back to 1881 that are now used as museum exhibits. In 2006 it won an award from Preservation America for its landscape design which included new planting techniques that have restored many aspects of original land use patterns while preserving unique features such as old barns and churches which are still visible today

Paragould is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,191 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–south Little Rock metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1882 by Andrew Dickson and named for Paragould, England. The first post office was established in 1883 and the first store (later renamed the Ponderosa Store) opened on Main Street in 1886. The town became a railroad stop in 1896 and remained so until it merged with North Little Rock to form theLittle Rock–North LittleRock–south LittleRock metropolitan area on January 1, 2001. The townsite that sits today at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 171 and US 61 was platted in 1865 by De Witt Clements as part of a larger claim he made to land grants surrounding what is now Paragould. In 1882, Dickson bought some of this land from Clements and named his new town after him – Paragould being one of several British places included on his purchase). By 1895, when Paragould incorporated as a municipality under its own name, business had begun to rapidly grow around the station stop on local railroads that linked north-central Arkansas with central Texas and Mexico City. By 1906, when Pulaski County joined forces with neighboring Cotton Belt counties to create Pulaski County Annexation District No. 2 (later designated as Pulaski County), Paragould had become an important economic center within its boundaries because of its position along both state highways 171 and 61; its large train depot which served local residents for many years; its paper mill; agricultural activities; and its location near major regional trade routes including Interstate 30/I-40 corridor through north-central Arkansas into Oklahoma City. In recent decades, significant investments have been made by both locals and outsiders alike to revive retail businesses such as gas stations/convenience stores/mallard pond feeder operations along Atchison Road which has attracted attention from developers who are eyeing up parcels adjacent to State Route 441 leading southward into Little Rock; while also creating new parks - including "Green Park" located just east of downtown close to Asiana Shopping Plaza - that provide susportive green spaces amidst busy commercial corridors throughout downtownParagoudon's ample parkland provides plenty opportunity for residents & visitors alike for healthy exercise long after dark: even during periods of heavy traffic congestion!
In 1871, the town of Paragould was founded by Andrew Jackson. The town was named for General Paragould, who fought in the Mexican-American War and in the American Civil War. In 1907, a post office was established in the town. The first postmaster was Mrs. Aiken.
