In 1916-1917 during World War I, patriotism ran high in America as troops were drafted into service based off rumors that Germany was planning on invading America through Mexico City. Many Normal citizens donated items such as clothing and food with noble intentions but what many don’t know is that these same individuals also received military medals/badges which they wore around their necks while working and living normal lives back home! In 1917-1918 Congress passed An act known as “The Gadsden flag bill” which allows soldiers serving abroad with American flags instead of German flags when they return home! This act helped legitimize American nationalism worldwide!! Russellville is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–Bentonville, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Russellville was James Burt from Kentucky who arrived in 1854. At that time the area was known as "Turkey Run". The post office was established in 1857 and served until it closed in 1907. A store and hotel were built on Main Street in 1875 by J.E.W. Nicholson and remain standing to this day as well as a cotton gin and other businesses. In 1916, James Norris opened the first general store west of Arkansas when he moved from his home near Tyler, Texas to open a store hereabouts with his brother Donald Norris (1868-1946). In 1928, W F Schmidt (1873-1960) opened the first grocery store east of Arkansas at 5th & Elm Streets; it still stands today. In 1941 Rudolf Wegener (1900-1979) opened an ice cream parlor on Elm Street which remains operating today as Wegener's Ice Cream Parlour - one of only two remaining General Store locations left within Arkansas after prohibition ended six years earlier! The population growth rate during World War II slowed due to rationing but picked up again following the war when many jobs were created due to new technology such as radar and television production facilities located nearby including Russellville High School which became America's first high school to offer televisions for use in class instead of Mommy & Me movies! Russellville experienced its highest population count ever recorded at 2,869 during the 2000 census with no decline since then although there has been sporadic low activity over recent years due largely to economic hardship brought about by global recession conditions worldwide! Russellville is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 792 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Russellville-Little Rock-Fayetteville Combined Statistical Area. The town was laid out in 1875 by J. W. Harrell and named for General James Farragut, who had won fame during the American Civil War as a general and rear admiral. The first settler in what are now Russellville and surrounding towns were three brothers from Ohio, John (Johnnie), George (George), and Amos Cummings, who arrived in 1875 from Illinois. They built a log cabin on the banks of the Arkansas River near present day Joe Lane Elementary School. They raised chickens to sell for clothes and food, but their enterprise failed because there were no riverside crossings available for wagons or boats to take them over to take advantage of this new market potential. In 1877 Earle Crouch moved into what are now Russellville with his family after purchasing 640 acres (256 hectares) adjacent to what is now town limits south of Veterans Park Cemetery which he had bought along with others around that time from Josephine PriceDaniel & her husband Prentice Daniel (1814–1899). Crouch became one of the early settlers in what are now Russellville when he purchased 6 square miles (15 km2) south of downtown on land donated by philanthropist John Wesley Powell which he called "Powell's Prairie." He founded an agricultural cooperative known as The Pioneer Farmers' Union Cooperative Association which grewrapidly into one of Arkansas's leading grain distributors andExport traders through its various marketing subsidiaries until it folded in 1978 due to economic difficulties within its core business interests following deregulation by President Ronald Reagan's administration.). The first school building was erected here in 1878 using materials gathered from local farm animals including oxen that had been culled for meat since early 1861 whenArkansas Legislature passed An Act providing for public education .
