There are many coffee history stories in Blackfoot, Idaho. One of the most well-known is the story of Bob Evans Coffee. The company started in 1887 as a small family business in rural White Sands County, New Mexico. It became one of the largest and most successful coffee companies in America. Bob Evans Coffee was founded by Bob Evans Sr. and his son, Bob Evans Jr., who also ran the company’s marketing department. The brothers were born and raised in rural White Sands County, New Mexico, where they grew up on farms that grew beans for their father’s coffee shop. They started out selling ground beans to local restaurants, but they soon realized that sales could only go so high if they provided good quality products at an affordable price point. In 1951, Bob Evans Jr. died suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 36 years old; his father continued running the company until his death in 1998. After his father’s death, Bob Evans Jr.'s widow took over management of the businesstuition for her sons before giving it back tothe locals under the name “Bob Evans Coffee Company Incorporated." Since then,the company has undergone several changes including multiple ownership changes (three times), multiple mergers and acquisitions (twice), and several reincarnations as different businesses within Blackfoot (sometimes called "The Town That Knew Too Much"). Today, during its 157th year anniversaryyear, "Bob Evans Coffee" still produces world-class coffee grown on traditional family farmers' estates throughout central America; providing customers with delicious cup after delicious cup of sublimely rich flavor that celebrates all things Americana – country style!

Blackfoot, Idaho is a small town located in the Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho.
