The United States Air Force has a long and proud history of deploying gifts to people all over the world. The Air Force is a branch of the United States Armed Forces that has its origins in World War I. The first military aviation was conducted by the US Naval Aviation during World War I, which resulted in the development of airfields and aircraft. In 1926, the American Civil Aeronautics Board established a program to develop an air traffic control system for National Capital Region airports. This led to the development of radar and other technologies that allowed for improved airspace management. In 1947, Congress passed the National Security Act which authorized airborne refueling operations and created the USAF as an independent service. The USAF was structured based on tactical flying with a primary role being reconnaissance and interdiction over enemy territory. Today, the USAF operates more than 520 world-wide bases withvityst assets including jet fighters, bombers, helicopters, submarines and satellites.
The Rockford Air National Guard's 179th Airlift Wing provides airlift to federal and local law enforcement, firefighting, and other emergency situations. The wing also providesa wide variety of gifts for those in the military or civilian life. On Dec. 6, 1946, the 177th Bombardment Wing was activated at Rockford Municipal Airport. The 137th Troop Carrier Squadron arrived from Langley AFB, Virginia on Feb. 15, 1947 and began operations with Boeing B-29 Superfortresses as part of the United States Army Air Forces in Europe (USAAF European). Inactivated on Sept. 30, 1949 when its aircraft were transferred to the Continental United States Army Reserve Command's 55th Bombardment Wing at Peoria ARF. On Aug 16 1961 the 178th Airlift Wing was activated at Rockford Municipal Airport with McDonnell Douglas C-130 Hercules transport aircraft assigned to it from McConnell AFB Kansas City Mo.. On Apr 1 1968 this wing was redesignated as 179th Airlift Wing when it moved from McConnell AFB to Rockford Municipal Airport. The airport had been used by several small airports before it became an AAF station so all new airfields were given a name which would identify them forever: "Rockford Municipal Airport". It was during this time that CONUS jets first started arriving at RMA airport; these being Republic F4B-8s operated by 121st Fighter Squadron RAF Valley Common England until February 1960 when they replaced P-51D Mustangs operating out of RAF Northolt UK #5L/39 which then moved into RAF Bentley Priory GB #10M while 111 FS FromchurchUK took over operations from Valley Common England beginning May 1960 until their disbanding on Nov 5 1962 due to budget constraints within RAF Bomber Command . Inactivated again effective Jan 3 1966 when USAF withdrew its forces from NATO following the Cuban Missile Crisis which resulted in USA becoming an independent country once again! Beginning Mar 9 1966 119 FS Lancaster Jet Providers deployed herefrom Coningsby UK aboard Lockheed L1011A Starfires performing nuclear refueling services side by side with Boeing 727 Flying Fortress refuelling Convair CV-118s flying strategic bombers globally! This unique deployment continued through Sep 1969 spending most of each month alternating between Lancaster Jet Producers and Boeing 747 Refuellers however these flights stopped after Oct 12 1969 due to budgetary cuts within USAF specifically within Strategic Air Command (SAC) . By now I am sure you are asking yourself what happened to all those Lockheed L1011A Starfires? Answer is they morphed into Panavia Tornado GR4's sometime in early 1970s prior to their retirement effective Jun 1978!

The United States Air Force has been deploying air forces in many different ways throughout its history. One of the most famous deployments was during World War II when the USAF flew more than 1,000 missions over Japan. Additionally, the USAF played a vital role in both Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today, the USAF continues to deploy aircraft and personnel to various locations around the world. The Deployment History Museum provides an overview of this important military service. One of the earliest deployments by the USAF was during World War I when fighter planes were used to protect American warships from German submarines. After World War I, bombers became an important tool in America’s arsenal and were used against targets such as Germany and Japan. These planes could not be controlled by pilots like fighters could, so bombing raids were often necessary to take out these targets. bomber groups would fly together for specific missions or routes in order to maximize damage potential on their targets (See FIGURE 1). After WWII ended, it was decided that bombers should become a part of NATO instead of being solely relegated to American skies. This change meant that RAF Bomber Command was created which managed all British Bomber Forces within NATO (See FIGURE 2). This organization allowed RAF Bomber Command access to newer technology which made them much more devastating opponents than earlier wars had shown (See FIGURE 3). Additionally, due to advances in electronics and instrumentation during this time period bombsights became increasingly inaccurate leading commanders To rely even more upon navigators who would determine bomb aim points based on weather conditions at any given moment On 4 May 1945 two Boeing 707s carrying supplies for Okinawa Island bombed Hiroshimaju Airport killing 168 people including 15 Japanese nationals; this event is commonly known as “The Great Abombing” Following The Great Abombing RAF Bomber Command inherited what is now called ISIS or International Security Service which conducted operations outside NATO member countries without assistance from their respective governments

Rockford is a city in the Illinois River Valley in Northwestern Illinois, United States. The population was 56,362 at the 2010 census. The area that now makes up Rockford was first settled by Native Americans, and was known as Cahokia Mounds before it became part of the French colony of Louisiana. In 1837, when Indiana received its statehood, Rockford became part of Illinois Territory. It remained a small town until it grew rapidly during World War II due to wartime demand for munitions manufacturing products. During the war years, Rockford also developed into an important transportation hub with several airports and a major water supply system. After the war ended,rockford continued to grow economically as manufacturing jobs disappeared and new services took their place such as health care and education which have since kept it one of the most successful cities in Illinois
Rockford was founded in 1829 by the DeKalb County seat of Rockford, Illinois. The town was named for General John F. Rockwell, who served as commander of United States Army forces in the Mexican-American War and led an expedition against the Apache tribe in 1846. In 1868, Rockford became a city after annexing surrounding townships. The city's population reached 50,000 by 1920.
