Brownsburg is a small town located in the south-central part of Indiana, about 25 miles east of Indianapolis. It was founded by Ephraim Brown in 1811 as a post office and military fort. The town grew steadily during the 19th century, becoming an important center for coffee production. In 1851, it became the first incorporated municipality in Butler County. Brownsburg remained an important Coffee Capital until WWI when it became a League City. Today, Brownsburg remains a manufacturing center with many small businesses based there including carmakers Ford and Mazda, paper products manufacturer Hanabusa Paper Mills and broadcasting company WLW (Channel 11).

Brownsburg was founded in 1824 by Solomon Brown and his family as a small farming community on the banks of the White River. The town grew quickly due to its location, manufacturing capabilities, and growing agricultural production. In 1907, Brownsburg became an incorporated city. The city's growth continued through World War II as it became an important center for munitions production. After the war, Brownsburg resumed its rapid growth, becoming one of Indiana's fastest-growing cities. In 1988, Brownburg was renamed to honor John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy II. The city has experienced some significant changes over the years; although it retains many of its historical features such as its large retail presence and active downtown district, it has also seen a proliferation of new businesses and housing developments around its central square since 2000.

The town was founded in 1837 by James Brown and his family as "New Brownsburg". In 1839, it became the capital ofTerre Haute County and was renamed after James K. Polk, then U.S. President. After Indian Wars and a number of changes to its name, Brownsburg reverted to its original name in 1903 when it became an incorporated village under the jurisdiction of Terre Haute County seat Vigo Township. The community's history stretches back more than two centuries; it has been home to many families who have contributed to its development as a small town with strong agricultural roots and an active commercial center that has had contributions from many sectors over the years: banking, manufacturing, education (including nearby Terre Haute State University), government services (including law enforcement), light industry (steel production), agriculture (livestock) and health care (rhinoceros hunting). Today Brownsburg remains committed to being an excellent place to live, work and raise children while also support local businesses that contribute so much to their community – including restaurant favorites like Benny's Burger Joint and Joes Pizza Place – as well as providing important services such as fire suppression, public safety and infrastructure projects such as new highways or new schools.

The Dutch started planting coffee beans in Borneo in 1810 AD. After World War II, several other countries began to grow coffee including Greece (1948), Argentina (1975), Brazil (1985), Colombia (1998), Vietnam (1976), and Kenya (2006). Today there are over 100 different growers of high-quality coffee beans all over the world. High-quality red or black bean coffees are typically roasted with a fine grind size that produces a rich flavor profile with dark roasts being more fruity than lighter roasts. A careful balance must be maintained between roast time and water temperature when making high quality cups of coffee because too much heat can dry out the beans while too little heat will produce bitter flavors. Brownsburg is a town in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 9,421 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Terre Haute, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by James and Nancy Brown in 1824 on the banks of the Raccoon River. In 1830, they moved to what is now downtown Brownsburg and began to build a post office and store there. They also organized a school district which became one of the largest in Indiana. By 1845, they had erected a brick courthouse which served as their county seat until it burned down in 1855. In 1865, they built a new courthouse which still stands today. In 1892, John Macy bought land for $1 million near Brownsburg and began plans for an amusement park called "Macy's". Construction started in 1893 but only lasted two years because of financial problems. The park was finally completed in 1897 and named after John Macy himself- John Fenton Macy Park). The park attracted many people from all over Indiana who would come to enjoy its rides, games, etc.. However, it did not last long because during World War I it was used as a military base by the United States Army Signal Corps providing communications intelligence throughout Europe. After World War I ended, most of the troops departed but some left behind their equipment which quickly deteriorated into disrepair; this led to its closure in 1923 and eventual abandonment by Macy’s company six years later when wires were laid across most of its acreage creating an open field which remain today as Macy’s Corporate Campus). The town took on another life when it became home to Purdue University's first engineering program beginning with graduate students starting work on an hydroelectric plant in 1922 followed by further construction including research laboratories and housing for faculty members until 1967 when that project too came to an end due to budget cuts within Purdue University itself (the current location for Purdue University's engineering department remains unchanged since then)). Today, Brownsburg remains primarily known as a commercial center with some small residential areas scattered around its central business district including downtown where several large businesses currently operate including Ingram Microtechnologies (a major player in digital media), Sysco Foods Inc., Jardine & Mathews LLP., Hendricks Alloys Inc., Eli Lilly & Co.'s headquarters building (the former home of AIG), ITB reservoir restaurant (formerly located next door to ITB bank) and much more!
