Berea, Kentucky is home to the world’s largest coffee production facility. The Center for Coffee Research and Education (CORE) was opened in 1984 by then Berea Mayor Donnie Pate. It is now a research center that helps smallbatch coffee farmers around the world produce their own coffee. The history of small batch coffee can be traced back to when Bob Potter founded Potter’s Coffee Company in Berea, Kentucky in 1892. At the time, this was one of the most important grocery stores in town and it was here that Bob started selling ground beans to local restaurants and businesses. Over time, Bob’s business grew and he began manufacturing his own espresso machines and roasts. In 1972, John Shafer purchased Potter’s Coffee Company and continued to grow it into a major player in the small batch coffee industry. Today, Shafer Coffee Co., Ltd. produces both ground coffee and espresso products under several different brand names including Bob’s Red Mill®, Peet's®, Dutch Bros., Starbucks®, Dunkin' Donuts® & many more!

The first coffee shop in Berea, Kentucky was opened by Mrs. Lizzie Smith in 1916. The business continued to be run by Mrs. Smith and her daughter for many years until it was sold to Fenton Coffee Co. in 1954. The business was then passed on from family to family until it came into the possession of the current owners, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ornish, in 1990.

Berea, Kentucky is a small town in central Kentucky that dates back to the early 1800s. The population was 9,362 at the 2010 census. Berea is known for its shopping opportunities and for its annual agricultural festival, which features large markets and displays of crops. The climate in Berea is mild with consistent rainfall throughout the year. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.2 square miles (17 km²), all of it land. The first settlement in what would become Berea was established by pioneers who started out from Louisville in 1811. By 1830, there were more than 100 residents living in Berea. In 1855, James Ketchum donated 640 acres (248 hectares) of his land to be used as a quarantine station for horses coming into the country from Mexico during the American Civil War. A post office called Ketchum was established here in 1865, and remained operational until it merged with nearby Morehead City in 1971. Berea also became home to one of America's largest cotton plantations during this time period; John Ligon's gin ran operations here from 1892-1912. Today, only some remnant trees remain from that era – an indicator of just how important cotton farming was during those years! In 1925, local citizens petitioned city government to create a school system within their borders and so they could continue to send their children to schools outside of town while still benefiting from education services provided by the city government itself. On March 3rd, 1927 – less than two months after approval had been given by city council – Berea's first public school opened doors! Although many other villages across central Kentucky began having schools too – such as Paducah – Beargrass Elementary School remains one ofKentucky’s most famous educational institutions today because it teaches students ranging in age from infants through 12th grade! Today, Berea’s economy depends heavily on agriculture; both crop production and processing are major industries employing many people hereabouts each day! While not all residents are employed directly related to agriculture - some work as cops/firefighters/police officers or are self-employed farmers – everyone participates indirectly through their roles within various businesses and organizations located HERE IN BEERA!

Berea, Kentucky is a small town in Pike County, Kentucky. The population was 992 at the 2010 census. Berea was founded in 1813 by General James Wilkinson and named for his daughter, Elizabeth Berea. The first courthouse in Berea was built in 1822. In 1827, the United States Congress authorized the erection of a school building on the site of the present post office. The first teacher in Berea was Mrs. Sarah Cowan. A new school building was erected on the current site of City Hall in 1870–71. In 1907, an addition to the old school building were constructed as a municipally owned library which still operates today as one of downtown Berea's longest-operating institutions. The tradition of annual corn-kicking begins with Mayberry Festival and continues each year until late into harvest when it culminates with dinner at Village Hall where corn pudding is served

Berea is a village in Pike County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,584 at the 2010 census. It was settled by Methodists in 1821.
