Joe's is still open today (2015) providing customers with top-quality coffee products at reasonable prices while helping support local businesses.
Erlanger, Kentucky is a small town in the Jackson County area of Kentucky. The population was 584 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Louisville, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1820 and named for General James Erlanger, who had fought with General Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812. Erlanger was located on the banks of the Little Kanawha River. In 1875, John A. McClendon built a sawmill here which became one of the most important mills in Erlanger until it closed its doors in 1984. Today, Erlager Main Street contains several businesses including an Applebee's restaurant and a Walmart Supercenter as well as two families' homes dating back to before World War II. The town also has a library and post office as well as three churches: First Baptist Church (founded 1821), Second Baptist Church (founded 1865), and Methodist Episcopal Church (established 1865).

It had a population of 6,851 as of the 2010 census. As of 2014, the city's mayor is Donnie Ladd and its City Council includes six members from Ward 2 (the east side oftown). According to the US Census Bureau, Erlanger has a total area of , all land. As of the census of 2000, there were 779 people, 269 households, and 191 families residing in the village. The population density was 21 people per square mile (9/km²). There were 309 housing units at an average density of 13 per square mile (5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98% white and 1% black or African American. Hispanic or Latino residents made up 3% of the population.
The town of Erlanger, Kentucky was founded in 1869 by Levi Abernathy and his family. The Abernathy family operated a general store in the town until it closed in 1925. In 1928, the Abernathy family donated land to create a shopping center which served as the nucleus for what is now called mall Erlanger.
