In 1951, Mr. Soper passed away leaving his family ownership of the business jointly with his son-in-law Mr. John Brierly’s wife Mrs. Alice Hamerman Fagan (nee Wynne). In 1976, Mrs Fagan died leaving the business to her husbandMr John Brierly Jr.. In 1984, after eighteen years as owner/operator of Murray Coffee Company, Mr John Brierly Jr.'s widow Mrs Lynda Kapp took over management; continuing until her death on November 12th 2006 aged 86 years old (buried at Greenwood Cemetery). After twenty five years as an owner/operator of Murray Coffee Company I have decided that it's time for me to move on from this wonderful company which has supported me through all my highs and lows throughout my life; I am selling my shares back to the original owners who will continue running this great company under new management! I grew up within 5 miles of where Murray Coffee was founded so I get really excited about moving on from all this history! Fresh roasted beans are still some of my favorite things! It's great seeing all those trucks driving by each day heading into our town for a cup of Joe!
