Slidell is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. It was founded by French colonists in 1718 and became a French post town in 1804. The first gourmet coffee shop opened in Slidell in 1927. Gourmet Coffee Company was founded by Adolphus Busch and Samuel Morse in 1932. In 1951, the company merged with Roasting House Incorporated to form Roasting House/Gourmet Coffee Company. The company closed its doors in 1978 but reopened as Gourmet Coffee Co-op of Louisiana two years later. In 1984, the company became an independently owned subsidiary of JVC Corporation until it was sold to Green Mountain Coffee Corporation in 1998. The current owner is Blue Bottle Coffee which operates the store and café on Main Street between US 501 and 504 from morning until late night. The history of gourmet coffee has been intertwined with many different businesses and people over the past few hundred years. One of the earliest cafes that specialized in providing high-quality roasted beans was called "The Hermitage" located at 322 Nolensville Road north of New Orleans near what is now Central Park Avenue (now Magazine Street). This cafe served coffee from local roasters such as Peet's Sons & Hops and Carver's Coffee before moving to its present location at 309 Wabash Highway (now Robertson Boulevard) adjacent to Tulane University campus around 1907 or 1908. In 1927, gourmet coffee pioneer Adolphus Busch opened his own café called "The Slider" on Rampart Street just south of I-10 exit 214A east of downtown Slidell. "The Slider," which busch operated for more than fifty years until his death on March 5, 2006, played an important role within the early history of this popular pursuit for fine espresso drinks enjoyed by residents throughout Lafourche Parish including those living along I-10 Exit 214A then known as Rampart Street corridor during that period were somepins back then who used buses provided through their fathers farmers collective during harvest time when truckloads bring fresh produce direct to market place where they would be stored prior to consumption while families would gather together enjoying their day outdoors prior to going into evening cooking fires inside homeswives’ kitchens all afternoon long before being delivered home Ice cream socials were held at Midtown Laundry laundromat right across busy street corner from “The Slider” featuring drag queens vaudeville acts entertained by female laundry workers while men worked behind closed door refreshing ice cold Dasani water afternoons during prohibition era

The water goes into the boiler where it vaporizes (turns into gas) and forms pressure waves which move through the metal tubes that contain hot airgunpowder (aka shots). When these pressure waves reach somewhere near enough temperature (approximately 190 degrees Fahrenheit), liquid water starts boiling off spontaneously from inside these tubes due to thermodynamic equilibrium considerations between water molecules and gunpowder molecules. This liquid water then turns into steam as cold air is introduced (via an attached fan)
