In 1947, however, companyE was redesignated as Battery A and deployed to Guantanamo Bay Cuba where it remained until 1959 when it returned home under orders by President Eisenhower to begin operations at Fort Lewis College in Olympia Heights, MI Company F also mobilized for World War II but never saw action due to its location near Detroit while companies G & H were mobilized primarily for training purposes only On May 9th 1966 there was a large salute from cannons throughout downtown Sault Ste. Marie when elements of 2nd Battalion (2ND Canadian) Royal Canadian Regiment came into town for a ceremonial parade

As it turned out, no such conflict erupted and international relations remained peaceful until 1848 when Mexico finally declared war on America over territorial issues. In response to this provocation, President James K Polk ordered American troop reinforcements into Mexican territory which led to what is known as The Mexican War (1846-1848). Throughout its history, the National Guard has always played an important role in American society both domestically and abroad. It has served as a reserve force for certain branches of government while also being used as a source of manpower for other assignments outside of combat duty. Today’s National Guard provides essential security services within each state while also conducting training exercises throughout the United States under various conditions ranging from peacetime to wartime situations.
