One day while he was eating his cereal and toast, he noticed someone had put up a sign reading "Military Coffee." He quickly knew what this meant and ordered himself some Military Coffee from the kitchen. From then on, Forrest began to use the term "tactical coffee" to describe any type of military-themed espresso drip orespresso beverage that he placed on the menu at his Marines' mess hall/cafeteria. Anoka was platted on November 7, 1872 by J.C.Mackay and A.L. He then began to sell his coffee beans and Coffee School, which he ran from 1824-1828 in Concord, Massachusetts.
Anoka is a town in the U.S. state of Minnesota, situated on the banks of the Mississippi River. The population was 5,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and is adjacent to Saint Anthony Falls, Minnesota's highest waterfall. The first white settlement in what is now Anoka County was established by Captain Samuel Hennepin on October 15, 1836, when he and his men built a cabin on an island in White River near present-day Rochester. The first settlers were Eliakim Smith and his family from Rhode Island; they arrived December 1, 1836. On January 10, 1840, John Ames arrival in Anoka County with ten other pioneers - four men and six women - who had journeyed upriver from Shakopee Cluster 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of Stroudsburg Landing for that purpose. There are three early mills in Anoka: One operated by Nicolai Fritsch as a gristmill (); one by David Munch as a flour mill (); and one by George Gillett as a clothier’s mill (). In 1875 Nicolai Fritsch sold his mill to Jens Jensen for $2,- 000 cash which made him one of America's largest grain merchants during that time period."
