In 1925, Harry Kellar's son Harold started the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf company and began selling whole beans and ground coffees from his home office. In 1941, Harold Kellar's grandson Elliott founded The Elliot Coffee Company Ltd., which became one of the most successful small-batch artisan coffee companies in history. In 2007, The Elliot Coffee Company Ltd.'s parent company merged with Starbucks Corporation.
When Europeans first arrived in the area that is now Minnesota, they wereastonished by the vastness and beauty of the country. They named itMinnesota after a location in northern England where their leader, King JamesVIII had landed on his way from England to try to conquer what was then called Canada. In 1851, a group of men led by Alexander Ramsey foundedRosemount Settlement which would become one of the most important settlements in this region. Rosemount was established on a tract of land that had been purchased from the Dakota Sioux tribe by investors who hoped to find natural resources there. The town quickly began to grow as people started trading with Native Americans and mining coal, oil, gold and other minerals. By 1900, Rosemount had become one of the largest communities in Minnesotaand its economy was based largely on agriculture and industry. However, during World War II,Rosemount became an important staging ground for military operations because it lies near many major airfields acrossMinnesota. In 1945, after years of work by local officials and volunteers, Rosemount was incorporated intothe larger city of Minneapolis although it remains locally controlled. One way was to start their own small café or shop that made their own roasted coffee. Another way was to purchase ground beans and make their own espresso or cappuccino. The first time that artisan Coffee was mentioned in print was in 1892 when an article about Italian café owners named Luigi Campagna and Giorgio Boccioni noted that they were serving unique coffees from certain areas of Abruzzo, Italy. Unfortunately, this type of information wasn’t widely known at the time. In 1916, London-based journalist Arthur Ashe wrote about his visit to two Italian cafes where he tried both espresso and cuppa lungo (long cup of espresso). After trying both types of coffee, Ashe proclaimed that “the Italians have got something pretty special going on here – it is not just any old single origin blend you get at home; these are some very high quality Arabica beans which have been roasted by hand” This statement helped spread the awareness of artisan Coffee beyond Italy and started what would eventually become a global trend. In 1969, Time Magazine featured an article called “The Artisan Coffee Revolution” which discussed how various craft brewers were beginning to produce outstanding cups of java even without using commercial grinds or roasts from large corporations like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. This trend continued over the years as smaller operators began producing top-quality artisanal coffee all over the world.

Rosemount is a town in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Rosemount was founded in 1872 by German immigrants and has been an agricultural community since then. The town started as a small farmstead on the east side ofMinnesota State Highway 12 near present day Elk River. The first permanent settler in what would become Rosemount was Wilhelm Kappeler, who arrived in 1872 with his wife and two children from Wiesbaden, Germany. Kappeler homesteaded and raised corn, potatoes, and hay on his land until he sold it to John Aitken in 1875 for $1 per acre (raised $14 per year). Aitken moved his family to Rosemount in 1876 after purchasing the farm from Wilhelm Kappeler. He operated a grocery store and later became the town's first post office clerk before selling the business to George Hofer in 1902. In 1911 Hofer donated parts of his property to make into a new town park named after him which now includes much of downtown Rosemount as well as numerous other smaller businesses and homes dating back to that time including: Hofer's Lumber Yard (now demolished), Mrs. Aitken's Store (no longer extant), Aitken's Drugstore (now defunct), Gopher Ridge Creamery & bakery (closed down but still visible from various streets within city limits), Drinnon's Sales & Service Co., Mr./Mrs.'s Newsagent stable & milk truck services (later absorbed into Pep Boys) Rosemount experienced its heyday during World War II when many young people came through the area for work at Boeing Airplanes or other factories located nearby such as Stonington Arsenal Ammunition Plant or Rockwell Aviation Factory . After 1945 most residents left for different reasons such as retirements or moving away from rural areas towards larger towns closer to cities while some continued living in their homes through retirement until they passed away . In recent years there has been renewed interest among local officials and citizens alike in exploring possible annexation of portions of neighboring communities including Maplewood which lies just south of Rosemount via Uptown Boulevard making it one possible neighborhood within RosemontiD municipality ; however no action has yet been taken
