St. Cloud is a town in the U.S. state of Minnesota, located on the Saint Cloud River near its mouth on the river's north shore. As of the 2010 census, the population was 9,574. The name is derived from "ACHTUNG (stilus) 'a point of land at or near a estuary,' and nicholai ('a white man'), both meaning 'place where I am going.'" The first European settlers in what is now St. Cloud were French fur traders in 1758-59; they named their new town after Pierre-André Châtelain de la Salle, Sieur d'Anvers (1710-78), captain general and governor of Quebec during the Seven Years War and one of Napoleon Bonaparte's most trusted lieutenants. La Salle had been sent to explore northwest Minnesota by King George III of Great Britain in 1763 as part of an effort to find a route to China through America. He discovered an area that he called Acadia (now Nova Scotia), which he claimed for France but then abandoned because Native Americans there disputed his title to it. After Napoleonic Invasion of Canada in 1812, La Salle returned to North America and founded St.Cloud on November 2, 1813 with local fur trader Nicholas Nicolai junior as its first settler; other early pioneers included David Henderson and John Fridley In 1868 Aimer Siderow bought all of what are now Cook County from Nicolai for $8,000 cash; he renamed it Star City after himself and donated all future land sales proceeds back into the community development fund established by his father Amos Siderow Sr., also a pioneer who had helped found St Cloud in 1868 when it was still Star City—the first municipally managed development fund in America In 1906 Minneapolis-Saint Paul built Interstate 94 across Swanson Creek just upstream from Star City eastward; this made Star City about 30 miles away from downtown Minneapolis—the furthest away from any city or county center in America at that time But by 1915Star City was again close to home: It became part of newly created Hennepin County when it was organized out of portions of Dakota Territory

In 1912, Dutchman Hendrik Verbruggen set up a small roasting company in Amsterdam with his friend Jan Roemer. Roemer introduced espresso coffee to Europe, leading to its spread throughout much of continental Europe and North America. Not until after World War II did cafés begin serving Turkish or Arabic coffees as well as European roast styles such as Italian (Pavoni), French (Café de Flore), Americano (Robusta), Swiss (Toblerone) and Brazilian (Barracudo). However, it was not until after the war that Europeans became interested in developing new bean varieties specifically for their Coffeeshops. By 1970, there were over 1,000 Cafés worldwide serving different types of coffee including single origin beans from Africa, Asia Minor & Greece, Latin America & South America, Indonesia – where Java is known for its unique Café Mocha flavor profile – Andes Mountains – home to some of the highest quality Arabica roasted beans on Earth - Indonesian Rooibos which has a fruity taste; African Dwarf Gold Cappuccino Beans from Sudan; Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Beans from Wollo Province; Australian Robusta Coffee from Tasmania; Colombian Purosueño Beans From El Jefe plantation near Medellin that began earning widespread acclaim as premium roasts all over the world because they had been developed only for our Cafés!

St. Cloud is a city in Minnesota, United States, and the seat of Ramsey County. The population was 139,842 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Mississippi River between Minneapolis and St. Paul, making it one of the most river-dependent cities in the country. The first Europeans to reach what is now St. Cloud were French traders and furtraders in 1658–60 who named their settlement after Saint-Cloud (a small town in France), some twelve miles upstream from present day St. Cloud on the Milk River. After initially trading goods with Native Americans along this stretch of the Mississippi River, white settlers began arriving by way of steamboats in 1825 and built mills that produced flour for local markets as well as lumber for constructing homes and fences around farmland west of downtown Stcloud until 1854 when railroads arrived to take advantage of new shipping opportunities downriver. In 1855, three brothers founded a lumber company which became known as Northern Electric Company When electric power became available to households near Minneapolis in 1917, electricity was supplied through a substation located on Sixth Street SW in downtown Stcloud which still stands today! In 1927, Northern Electric merged with American Telephone & Telegraph Company forming Northrop Corporation which continues to be headquartered here today! In 1958, Ramsey County was created from parts of Dakota Territory including what is now Ramsey City; part of this county boundary shift happened because rural land east of downtown Saint Cloud had been annexed by nearby Bloomington since Vermillion Township had been organized there two years earlier! The annexation resulted in an increase in population density within city limits from just over 100 people per square mile (3/km²) at its founding to more than 200 people per square mile (6/km²) by 1960! Today’s metropolitan area has a population exceeding 2 million residents!!! In 1961-1963 citizens voted to change their name to “Saint Cloud†after State Representative John Jansen offered his resignation effective January 1st following revelations that he had engaged in sexual relationships with several women while serving as state senator from Red Wing (now Maple Grove). This event served as both an impetus for further community growth within city limits as well as validation that citizens wanted their municipal government committed to public service rather than purely private interests!!! After much deliberation over many months – spearheaded by Mayor Harry Weisbach – voting Results showed that 97%of those polled approved Of The Name Change Campaign Resolution presented To Them By Their City Councilmember!!!!!!!!! On October 15th 1963 The New Saint Cloud Municipal Government Was Incorporated And Entered Into Full Force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
