As the capital of the United States, St. Louis Park was a major center for coffee production in the early 1800s. The first roastery was established in 1824 and soon became famous for its high-quality beans. Coffee beans were roasted on small family-owned farms until 1946 when they were nationalized and processed by Jura Coffee SA. Today, Jura Coffee SA continues to produce world-class artisan coffee under their own name in St. Louis Park. The history of artisan coffee begins with Nicholas Roemer, who opened his first roastery in 1824 in what is now the heart of downtown St. Louis Park. Roemer’s Beans was quickly well known for its quality and unique flavor profiles, which remain popular to this day. In 1916, Roemer’s expanded his business into what is now called “The Ristretto Shop” – one of the most iconic buildings in downtown St. Louis Park today! Since then, The Ristretto Shop has been a hub for local artisans who roast their own specialty coffeebeans and sell them direct to consumers around the world – something that has continue to be a crucial part of their culture today! Today, there are many talented café owners throughout Saint Paul – Minneapolis – and Duluth – Superior – who continue to bring innovative flavors and delicious coffee to locals and tourists alike! The firstartisan coffee shop was opened in 2009 by two entrepreneurs, Matt and Tanya Greenwald, who believed that good coffee could make a difference for people living in poverty. Over time, they added other local artisan partners to their roster, including chefs like Adam Carolla and Joel Robuchon, as well as writers like Kirkus Reviews Editor-in-Chief Kirsten Beattie and author David Price. Today, Artisan Coffee has multiple locations throughout the metro area with more than 20 employees; all of whom are passionate about providing high-quality coffee to everyone who visits them. They offer a wide variety of brews including Sumatra Java (a medium roast), Ethiopian Kaffir lime tea (a refreshing blend of sweet spices), Roasted Colombian Arabica beans (for an intense flavor profile), Haitian Creole espresso (with a unique flavor profile), and Decaf Brazilian Supremo light roasts (for those who prefer quicker onset flavors).

St. Louis Park is a city in Minnesota, United States. The population was 38,594 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Ramsey County and the 11th-largest city in Minnesota by population. Saint Louis Park is adjacent to Minneapolis on the east side of the Mississippi River and to St. Paul on the west side of the river. The first people who settled in what is nowSaint Louis Park were Inuit from Siberia and Alaska who had been living there for centuries when European explorers discovered it during their travels through North America in 1624–25. The first settler was John Frith, an Englishman who came overland from Quebec with his party and found land that he named after his patron saint (Pope Gregory VII). Frith's settlement was near present-day Minneapolis; but it was not until 1797 that a French trader, Pierre Lesueur, landed at what is now Saint Louis Park with another group of Frenchmen seeking to establish trade routes between Montreal and Detroit (the future Detroit). He built a trading post here which became known as LesUEURSVILLE or "Pierre's Place". This early outpost gave rise to local legend that Pierre lesueur met a bear while traveling downriver one day and decided to skin it because it looked so nice! The story probably originated with Fergus MacDonald, one of LesUEURSVILLE's founders, who said that he saw Pierre lesueur butchering a bear at his post when he stopped there for dinner one evening shortly after arriving in town from running away from home with some girl he had caught up with along the way. In 1819, white settlers began moving into what are now SaintLouis Park from all over northeastern Minnesota Territory including present-day Ramsey County; they founded two settlements: ST LOUIS PARK TO THE NORTH AND HILLSBOROUGH PKWY TO THE SOUTH. These early pioneers were farmers farming land that had been donated by landowner Ebenezer Higgins of Hillcroft Township southeast of Minneapolis; he also donated several thousand acres (20 km²) of forested land northwest of SaintLouis Park which became known as Maple Grove Township today. When Stephen Aiken acquired 640 acres (2500 m²) north of Maple Grove in 1853 following disputed boundary decisions made during Indian Wars fought between Dakota Sioux and United States troops under General George Armstrong Custer those settlers moved into their new homes without awaiting further news about developments southward within Indian Territory; this event led to what would become known as "The Great Node" or "The Prairie Ring." Maple Grove Township was organized on February 14, 1857 following proposals submitted by David Davenport Seward (a lawyer), Elijah Mowery (a farmer), Amos Kendall (a lawyer), Solomon Kelley (an attorney), Daniel Webster Morse Jr., Charles Danaher Amesbury Dodge (airoldistocrat) together with three other citizens – James Guthrie Butterfield Simonds(Republican), John Herrin Goodrich(Democrat)), Augustus Nicolay Weems(citizen/free person)) . The city of St. Louis Park, Minnesota was founded in 1856 by Minnesota Territorial officials as the town of Bloomington. The name change to Minneapolis in 1857 and then Saint Paul in 1858. The city grew rapidly during the 19th century due to its location on the Mississippi River and its easy access to shipyards and other businesses. In 1916, the United States Congress passed a resolution declaring Saint Paul an official City of Minneapolis. During World War II, Saint Paul was one of several American cities that engaged in bombing raids against Japanese targets in the area around Tokyo. On December 7, 1941, a bomb exploded near the presidential palace within downtown Saint Paul, killing nearly 100 people and wounding over 600 others. The attack is still controversial to this day and has been condemned by many as an act of war crimes. SaintPaul experienced some significant growth during the 1960s and 1970s when it became home to both the University ofMinnesota (UM) Twin Cities campus and various high-tech companies such as Cymera Corporation and Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). However, recent economic challenges have led to declines in property values and workforce diversity throughout much of downtown SaintPaul.

St. Louis Park was founded in 1851 as a small town on the east side of St. Paul, Minnesota. The community rapidly grew and by 1865 it had reached its peak with a population of over 1,500 people. However, within a few years the town began to decline as residents moved away for better opportunities or when new industries came along that led to more jobs and less revenue. In 1874, the St. Louis Park Board of Education decided to sell the land that made up the current day part of St. Louis Park to create a new community on the west side of St. Paul called Ridgewood Heights which quickly became one of the most prosperous areas in Minneapolis.
