St. Louis Park is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota, located on the eastern border of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The population was 105,898 at the 2010 census and is estimated to reach 120,000 by 2030. A post office was established in 1853, but it wasn’t until 1861 that a depot was built at present day Pioneer Court Road to serve residents living east of Lake Superior on the Mississippi River waterfront economy corridor Between 1862 and 1865, lumbermen from Duluth started cutting logs down in what is now downtown Minneapolis because they could not find enough trees growing along their original path from Finland via Kainuu to Superior via Ishpeming Lakeshore onto Superior Island where they had cleared land for farming—a process called “logging off” which created virgin forest near today’s downtown Saint Paul (population: 154,623 at 2010 census) In 1872 when railroad cars arrived at what are now Union Depot Square northeast of downtown Saint Paul they found some abandoned cabins used by members of a logging company known as the Northwoods Timber Co., which had been operating out of Hennepin County north of present day Saint Louis Park since about 1850; these cabins were turned into an engine shed/grounds adjacent to Union Depot Square so that newly crewed locomotives could be stored while awaiting departure for several days or weeks before being taken back upriver on new engines In 1892 when white settlers began moving into what became St.Louis Park from all over rural Minnesota they encountered black slaves working on family farms owned by African Americans who resided primarily around Mille Lacs Lake – there were no schools or churches among these early white settlers so black children learned how to cook rice balls and other skills from their parents or other relatives before going off to school French Canadian Settlers Introduced Tobacco cultivation also came with them starting around 1830 cutters would come upriver 3 miles long Dadantado Creek flows through ranch ]when French Canadians first set foot here we knew this place [the creek] because 2 fur traders named Pierre Beaudoin took passage upstream on his ship La Saline Aug 8 1755 after exploring this country between Two Rivers river junction & Point Pelee I believe he may have stopped here [near present day Eastman] we traded goods with Indians hereabouts

The Panic of 1893 led to a decline in business activity in St. Louis Park and poverty among its residents; however, this did not mean that there was no community spirit or support for local businesses during these difficult times. Despite this difficulty, some businesses managed to keep going despite tough competition from other towns in the area such as Hibbing and Maplewood; these include John Prentice's bakery (1893-1912), Mrs. Loring's grocery store (1898-1920), Jenson & Sons cigar shop (1902-1994), Gertrude Olson's dry goods store (1907-1999), Harry Fenton's restaurant (originally called "Fenton House"), Harry Sasserstrom's hardware store (1911-1996) and many others over time that have continued until today including KFC restaurants Pizza Hut and Burger King locations within walking distance of each other until they closed around 2005 when those locations were purchased by Arby's chain who moved their headquarters into an adjacent building which now houses Target stores inside a Kroger supercenter complex on Nicollet Avenue across from CenturyLink Field). In recent years much effort has been made by the city government to revitalize downtown Saint Louis Park as one large community center/town square full of cultural events/programs for all ages as well as new housing developments that are accessible by public transportation either from downtown SaintLouis Park or nearby Interstate 35E which borders SaintLouis Park proper
