The Coast Guard in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, has been providing safety and protection for the community since 1939. The Coast Guard Auxiliary was founded in 1941 and today it provides security for the banks, streets, and water supplies of the city. In 1969, the Coast Guard Station was relocated to its current location on Hwy 41 near US 83. In 1949, The Coast Guard Auxiliary was formed with the goal of providing uniformed assistance to law enforcement agencies while also providing support to civilians through funerals and other events related to emergencies or natural phenomena such as floods or hurricanes. In 1969, when the station relocated from Point Edward Lighthouse to its current location on Hwy 41 near US 83, it meant an end for many years of cooperation between law enforcement and the Auxiliary; however this cooperation continued through donations and volunteers who continue today to provide essential services including Pre-School Education (K-12), boat launch service (to includes both commercial vessels and recreational boats), Search & Rescue (including air search & rescue operations), public information displays (annually highlighting topics affecting residents/ visitors/ businesses within city limits),and more!

In 1872, a group of businessmen decided to take action to clean up the lake and they created Lake St. Louis Park in its place. Lake St. Louis is an elongated, deep-blue body of water located in the Midwestern United States. The name comes from a Shawnee word meaning "place where the sun sets." The city was founded on the site of present day downtown by French fur traders in 1764. The area around modern day Lake St. Louis was first alluvial plains and then a vast, flat prairie until waves of glaciation carved out large valleys and ridges that separate it into today's five municipalities: Alton, Belleville, Carthage, Farmington Hills, and Olivette. In 1824, when Missouri became a state and the surrounding area came under U.S military jurisdiction as Fort Leavenworth garrisoned at this location on the Missouri River forts were established to provide protection for what would become St. Louis County; these forts remain active to this day as federal government facilities used by both civilians and military personnel. As early as 1768 Pierre Laclède had proposed naming the outlet of the river after King George III but no action was taken because there were several other candidates who offered more lucrative properties in that location including Ouachita Leadville which would have been developed into an even larger city had it been selected instead In 1819 James Kneeland established a ferry service between New Orleans and Jefferson Barracks onst Lousiville across the river so travelers could avoid crossing during bad weather or during Indian raids which destroyed many pioneer crops nearMissouri City The original town site was located on what is now Jackson Heights in Alton Township In 1825 Joseph Fenton organized a company to build Canandaigua Canal from Lake Erie to carry freight from Holland Landing upriver through Algonquin Park to Canandaigua The first bridge over the Mississippi River was built at Florissant Bridge in Bloomfield Township in 1827 connecting Florissant with Iuka Mound downriver In 1830 Samuel Morse constructed his first telegraph line between Baltimore and Detroit
