In 1810, Johnnie Walker began manufacturing its namesake beverage at a plantation near present-day Hannibal Road and White Street in Saint Charles County. original Johnnie Walker Coffee Company was founded by Captain Samuel Walker (1763-1839) in 1810 on land he acquired from Nicholas de Lacasa (1696-1768). Captain Samuels' company became one of America's leading brewers during the Revolutionary War era and produced some of the earliest proofreaders for tea production. In 1830 Samueluel & son Elijah left their plantations to open their own brewery at Watertown, Illinois; this Brewery is now known as Hennepin Brewing Company

Lake St. Louis, Missouri is a town in Southeast Missouri, United States. The population was 12,569 at the 2010 census. It is the only municipality in St. Louis County and one of the six municipalities in Greater St. Louis County. The first settlers to what is now Lake St. Louis were families who moved from Kentucky around 1810 because of the Indian Wars between Native Americans and white settlers known as the Great Famine of 1812-1813. They named their new community after General James Kippenberger's home state on the Ohio River, Kaskaskia County (now Illinois). The first post office was established in 1814 and was called "Natchez". By 1840 there were over 100 residents in Natchez Township; by 1860 it had grown to more than 600 people. In 1847 a group of individuals led by Jno.[1] Aiken founded Natchitoches (later Saint Peters) Parish on land that he donated near present day Orleans Mall just east of downtown Saint Petersville along I-435 between US 64 and I-55W (the latter being then called State Route 50). The parish would grow rapidly with religious refugees from France flooding into Louisiana during the French Revolution and Civil War era seeking sanctuary from American slavery laws which prohibited them from being re-ported back to Europe following their military campaigns against British forces during those wars (See also: Catholic Church in America)). In 1865, when Saint Peters Parish became part of Orleans Parish, Partridge Bridge Road became part of local road system making it easy for refugees to integrate into society while still living close enough to access services like education and healthcare In 1898 an act by Republican Representative David Wirtz enabled construction of beautiful copper smelters on both sides of the Mississippi River adjacent to what is now Lakefront Drive nearpresent day Midtown Saint Paul – creating jobs for many area residents including many immigrants originating from Hungary or Russia who’d been forced out of their homes during World War I as result of Ulysses S Grant’s “War on Poverty” campaign (See also: Copper Rush Era)). This project resulted in increased wealth for some residents while reducing poverty among others due to increased access to affordable transportation options within reach thanks largely to streetcar development spurred by city leadership under Mayor John Catsimatidis beginning in 1906) Lake St.Louis Post Office opened on July 1st 1894 In 1948 small businesses located south/west side [of downtown] starting around 4th Avenue closed down due lack if customers & competition from larger stores opening up north[/downtown]. Businesses such as dry goods store Mrs Barton's & grocery store Supervalu closed because they could not compete with large box stores opening up north [/north side]. These closures left a hole large enough for another business [to open next door], this new business name being 'Downtown News'. Downtown News started selling newspapers out front before moving inside about 2 years later

Polk approved a plan to purchase land from Spain for $6,000, which became known as the Louisiana Purchase.
