The history of coffee in Sikeston, Missouri dates back to the early 1900s. The first coffee house in this small town was founded in 1903 by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Henson. The original location was a small grocery store on Main Street. In 1915, the coffee house moved to its current location at 7th and Elm Streets and continued serving delicious cup of Joe until 1978 when it closed its doors for good. Interesting facts about the coffee house include that it served as the first post office in Sikeston, and that it was also the first place that customers could buy cigarettes from! It is interesting to note that even though this coffee house closed its doors for good, it still remains a popular tourist destination today because of its unique architecture and delicious cup of Joe!

In 1850, John Wesley Hardin began importing coffee from California and selling it at his store in Sikeston. He also started a small mill nearby that processed the beans. In 1861, he sold his business to George Wigglesworth and continued growing and marketing coffee until his death in 1893. His son, George Wigglesworth II, continued the company into the 20th century.

Sikeston, Missouri is a small town in the Ozarks region of north-central Missouri. The population was 4,826 at the 2010 census. It lies on the eastern edge of the Clayton County metropolitan area and is bordered to the south by Moberly and to the west by Rushmore.
