The national guard gift history in Warrensburg, Missouri dates back to the early 1800s. The first organized military unit in the area was the 1st Regiment of Missouri Volunteer Infantry, which was founded on July 3, 1821. By 1827, the regiment had grown to two companies and was redesignated as the 7th Regiment of Missouri Volunteers. In 1847, a new brigade of volunteers was created under command of Brigadier General Nathan Bedford Forrest. This brigade consisted of three regiments: the 9th Regiment of Kansas Cavalry, the 10th Regiment of Missouri Cavalry and finally, the 11th Regiment of Illinois Infantry. By 1861, there were over 50 detachments active in Missouri Militia service. On October 16th, 1861, Gen. Nathaniel Bedford Forrest recommended that all volunteer units be consolidated into one brigade under his command with headquarters at Hannibal-on-the-Mississippi River. This brigade would be known as brigadier general Forrest's Brigade (2nd Division) Confederate States Army (CSA). On December 12th 1862 Colonel James Sibley resigned from command due to illness and Lieutenant Colonel George Aiken assumedcommand effective January 1st 1863. Colonel Sibley's resignation may have been due to concerns about future military plans involving Union forces in central Arkansas; however it is more likely that he resigned because he did not support General Robert Ewing's plan for an all out war with Mexico City over slavery issues alone and felt that this posture could only lead to disaster instead of success against Mexico City if implemented fully consistent with United States Constitution rights guaranteed by section 8(a) Clause 2 thereof as well as other sections within same document guaranteeing inherent right to self-government for Native Americans residing within territorial boundaries prior thereto classified by Act approved March 4teenth 1787 pursuant to act entitled "An Act For Settlement Of Certain Indian Affairs Within The Province Of Arkansas" &c., also classified &c., therefore I must tender my resignation effective February 15 th . "BrigadierGeneral Nathan Bedford Forrest's Brigade (2nd Division) Confederate States Army" arrived at Cairo on April 24 th 1865 and proceeded directly downriver past Prairie du Chien where they disembarked their supplies May 6 th 1865 near what is today called Sunnyside Cemetery after having marched 364 miles during their trek downstream from Cairo through many hostile environments including rivers crossings waterfallsanches rapidsand sandbars--all while carrying almost 20 tons of equipment along with them!

The Missouri National Guard was first organized on November 1, 1861. The unit was initially made up of men from Warrensburg, Missouri. It was not until 1862 that the National Guard began to be sent to areas in the state of Arkansas and west Texas. In 1864, the National Guard was activated for service in Kansas City, Missouri during the Civil War. On January 15, 1865, it was abolished along with all other militias in the United States due to lack of funding.
Warrensburg is a small town in the Ozarks of Missouri. The population was 7,771 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jefferson City, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town's name comes from General James Warren who led American forces in the Mexican-American War and helped secure independence for Mexico. The first settler in Warrensburg was John Brown and his family who arrived in 1814. They were followed by other families over the next few years until it had a total of 15 settlers. In 1825, John Matson founded an academy in Warrensburg to educate young men and boys. When he died, his son Daniel took over running the school until 1893 when it was taken over by local blacksmiths David Reedy and Solomon Payson who renamed it "David Reedy Academy". In 1857, a group of men from Indianola (now Lafayette) bought some land south of present-day Warrensburg on which they built a cabin known as The Dell. The area around The Dell became known as Indianola Prairie after that community's move to Oklahoma Territory in 1861. In 1876, General John Buell organized what would become Union County into six townships: Blue Springs, Camden, Clinton, Fruitland (later Carthage), Grafton (later Randolph), and Valley (later Peru). On December 12th of that year, Union County was divided into two due to popular demand – Kansas Territory becameWarrensburg Township while Osage County remained within Kansas Township Proper On January 1st1877 all but one boundary betweenKansas Township Proper andWarrensburg Townshipwere erased creatingan unincorporated community called Scottville which incorporated on February 24th When Kansas State University relocated to campus at Shawnee Mission in 1962 most of its original buildings were torn down to make way for new dormitories including the old chemistry building which served as main office for university officials until 1984 when it was moved to Park Hall across from Memorial Stadium

Warrensburg is a town in Warren County, Missouri, United States. The population was 584 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1836 by John Quincy Adams and named for General James K. Polk, who had been Ulysses S. Grant's president during the Mexican–American War. The community grew rapidly after a railroad was built through it in 1859, and by 1870 it had a school and two stores. In 1875, the railroad became the Union Pacific Railroad, which brought more people to Warrensburg and made it a larger town than ever before. By 1900, there were five churches in the town and over 100 businesses; most of these were agricultural or manufacturing organizations that handled products produced along the growing railroads that linkedWarrensburg with other Midwestern towns such as Topeka, Wichita Falls, Independence (later Kansas City), and St Louis. The end of World War II caused some significant changes in Warrensburg; as many local farmers lost their jobs because of wartime production shortages, they began to move away from agriculture towards other types of businesses. The Missouri National Guard is a unit of the United States Armed Forces.
