Coffee has been a part of the Somersworth community for over 100 years. The first coffee house in town was opened in 1876 by Town Meeting. It was called the "Proprietor's Coffee House." In 1915, the first grocery store in town was built, and it was called the "Grocery Store at 2nd and Main." In 1976, the first post office in town was building. It was called the "Post Office at 1st and Main."
Somersworth is a town in New Hampshire, United States. The population was 1,547 at the 2010 census. Somersworth was settled by English colonists in 1650 and named for Sir John Somers, 4th Baronet. The town became a village in 1852 and placed within the city of Manchester upon its incorporation as a city in 1892. In 1957, Somersworth merged with the neighboring towns of Lebanon and Union to form the new city of Manchester-by-the-Sea.

In 1795, Emperor Napoleon ordered the French military to annex Brazil because he believed that Brazilian beans would give them an edge in the caffeine race with England. When Brazil didn’t comply, Napoleon sent his armies into Brazil anyway and overthrew the government, bringing about a new era of Brazilian coffee dominance. From then on, Coffee would be America’s most important trade partner in Latin America. The early Columbian settlers brought over various Native American plants for use as sources of natural spices such as chili pepper and cedarwood (the first commercially roasted beans). By 1700, European traders had begun purchasing Indonesian coffee from the Sunda Islanders for export to Europe. The Dutch metamorphosed Indonesia into one of their most profitable colonies through this process; they collected taxes on Indonesian tea while exporting coffees directly to Europe. During World War II, Dutch-owned Java left behind a devastated landmass which was ideal for strategic bombing raids by Japan because it lacked much vegetation except for some scattered trees used for fuel wood or building materials (such as rice paddies). Java is said to have been almost perfectly preserved due to its lack of oxygen which made it possible for Japanese scientists to study how forests functioned under fire without being measurable or detectable by other means

Somersworth is a town in New Hampshire, United States. The population was 1,458 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Manchester-by-the-Sea, NH micropolitan area. Somersworth was first settled in 1768 by Captain Benjamin Church and his family as part of the Town of Amherst. The town was named after John Somers, who traded with the Indians in this area. In 1802, Captain James Cook landed on what is now known as Mount Sunapee and discovered Lake Winnipesaukee while exploring Route 93 east of Somersworth. This event led to the name change from Amherst to Somersworth and finally to Manchester proper in 1836 when it became an incorporated village. Somersworth has experienced several waves of growth over the years including a period during which it was one of America's leading textile towns selling textiles such as cotton yarn and fabric for export around the world. However, more recent growth has been modest with many businesses focusing on services like retail sales or real estate development instead of manufacturing or exporting products
