Middlesex is a borough in New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,708 at the 2010 Census. Middlesex is located in the New York metropolitan area. Middlesex is part of the Newark-Jersey City, NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlement in what is now Middlesex was made by Englishmen who arrived on ships from London around 1624 and were given land in what are now East Brunswick Township and West Stockton Township. The township was formed on December 14th, 1708 when it was separated from Hunterdon County. On March 4th, 1764, as a result of an act of the New Jersey Legislature, Middlesex became part of Essex County. In 1834, James Kappes founded the town of Kappesboro within Middlesex Township to provide more room for development and commerce outside of Newark-Jersey City proper; this led to the name change to Kappesboro Borough on February 9th, 1848 following ratification by the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Kappesboro lost its charter as a borough on April 15th, 1899 due to lack of population growth and it rejoined Essex County that same year. The last census taken in 1911 counted 21,812 people living in Middlesex Borough with 11% (2/10ths) being nonwhite residents (of any race). By 2000 – when all other municipalities had reached populations over 25k – only 8% (1/5ths) were nonwhite residents while 79% (99%) were white or Hispanic descent according to immigration data collected from then thru 2016 courtesy of US Customs and Border Protection’s “National origin surveys” program which includes responses from aliens incarcerated inside our nation’s borders without legal status or citizenship

And while there are many types and brands of coffee available on store shelves today, there was once a much more intricate and complete story to tell about the origins and meaning of this beloved drink. For centuries, coffee was used primarily as an agricultural stimulant; however, its potential as a powerful medicine began to be discovered relatively recently. Coffee first reached Europe in the late 15th century by way of Asia and Africa. By the 16th century, it had spread throughout Christendom. The first wave of European settlers in North America brought Java beans with them when they crossed the ocean in search for new land in 1624-25. After landing on what is now Long Island (now New York), they noticed that some trees bore large pods that looked like those found in Brazil—evidence thatJava had been where coffee originated originally! The Portuguese introduced their own system of roasting beans which created a harsher flavor than typical Arabica beans found elsewhere at this time (the Spanish also roasted their coffee differently). This led to confusion among early American traders as to where the best quality Javas were being grown – some saidBrazil, others claimed Colombia or Panama! Eventually Englishman John Bartlett landed on Long Island with his ship The Dolphin in 1714 and began importing Brazilian Javas back into England! This initial trade gave us our first taste of espresso (a type of hot chocolate) made from Java powder! Coffee became popularized in America during the Revolutionary War because General George Washington wanted soldiers to refresh themselves before battle with something other than apathy or alcohol! He purchased two pounds of raw Java beans from one Dutch trader at Fort Lee on Long Island in 1775! The first Starbucks was opened up by British soldier James Ellison near Philadelphia – this marks Starbucks’ humble beginnings as a small business serving cold drinks outfitted with flavored syrups for American troops stationed abroad!!

Middlesex is a borough in New Jersey, located on the east bank of the Delaware River. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough had a total population of 23,824. Middlesex is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Middlesex were Dutch traders and orators who named it "Middelburg", meaning "MiddleBURgh". The name originated from an Iberian trade route that connected Amsterdam with Barcelona in southern Spain. Jameson built a dock at this location in 1684 and named it President Street after his patron, George Washington. In 1714, John Smith claimed land along both sides of the river for England; this claim was disputed by Peter Stuyvesant, who built Fort Lee on one side and called it Middelburgh Heights on the other. The English renamed it Westminster because they wanted to establish their legitimacy as rulers over all North America after defeating French forces during King George II's American War of Independence. They also renamed New Brunswick (present-day Nova Scotia) after their most powerful British ally at that time - Prince Maurice de Brudenell-Bruce, 1st Duke of Cumberland - which helped solidify English control over North America during that period. In 1812, while fighting against Napoleon Bonaparte in France, General James Longstreet fought alongside General Andrew Jackson at Battle Creek near Detroit as part of Army of Tennessee under General Ulysses S Grant. After Longstreet led an attack against Confederate lines at Cemetery Hill outside Petersburg on April 14th 1865 he was brevetted brigadier general for his actions there and received international acclaim for his leadership skills during that campaign. Middlesex residents are buried there including Union generals Nathaniel Banks (1813-1881), Averell Harriman (1863-1937), Archibald Cox (1865-1943), Edwin McMorrow (1909-) and Omar Bradley (1970-) among others During World War II many members from Middlesex served in various military units throughout Europe and Asia: Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Julius Caesar Kappenheimer '48; Navy Petty Officer First Class Franklin Purdy ('44); Marine Corps Private First Class Lloyd Jarrell ('44); Naval Criminal Investigative Service Agent John Fiske ('50-'56). One such resident was Major Harold Wierzbicki '52 who served five years as Commanding Officer Operation Neptune's Spear/Red Beach - one of only two Americans commanding UPNJ during Vietnam
The first European to visit Middlesex County was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1493. The area that is now Middlesex County was part of the Dutch Province of New Netherland until 1664, when it became part of English Pennsylvaniam. For more than a century, Middlesex had a strong Dutch presence, with farmers and traders trading goods and services with the Dutch colony. In 1807, the United States acquired what is now Delaware from Great Britain, and in 1821, Middlesex became one of the five counties within NJ as a result. Middlesex was heavily industrialized during World War II due to its location at the southernmost edge of New Jersey and its proximity to Pennsylvania's anthracite coal fields. After the war, however, industry declined and many jobs were lost; however, since 2000 there has been an increase in small-scale businesses and cottage industries.
