The first coffee shops in Roselle were opened in the early 1800s. By 1826, there were five coffeehouses operating in the town. In 1868, a shop was opened by Nicholas Pappas and his brother Nicholas. The business continued until 1971 when it was closed due to financial difficulties.
Roselle, New Jersey is a small town located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of the 2010 census, the population was 27,362. It is the county seat and largest city of Monmouth County. Roselle was founded in 1815 by English settlers as a small community on the east bank of the Hackensack River. The name derives from "Roses," which were brought to this area by early European settlers. The original Roselle Mill was built in 1816 and operated until 1828. In 1829, a new mill was constructed on what is now Elm Street near where Old Bridge Boulevard meets Route 9W. The mill continued to be run until 1865 when it burned down due to an accidental fire. In 1868, two brothers named John and Amos Prentice developed land adjacent to where Elm Street meets Route 9W and began operations as the first Roselle grocery store. They renamed their store "Prentice's." The store became one of the most popular in town and remained open until 1958 when it closed due to financial problems. In 1916, two businessmen named Harry Freedman and Julius Rosenbaum bought out Prentice's interest in the store and reopened it as a department store called Ruby's Department Store. Ruby's lasted until 1969 when it closed after years of decline due to competition from other stores in town such as JCPenney and Sears Roebuck & Co.. In 1970, Robert Kapp purchased Ruby's assets from Julius Rosenbaum for $1 million dollars; Kapp then turned Ruby's into a clothing powerhouse known for its large selection of designer clothes along with its unique atmosphere (described as "a kind of Gilded Age Broadway"). In 1984, four men -Gary Younker, Barry Frankovich Jr., Joseph Mancini III and Nicholas Economou - purchased Ruby's assets from Kapp for $12 million dollars making Roselle one of America’s mostrichest villages according to Forbes Magazine at that time). With his purchase came his dream: To turn Roses into an international shopping destination known for high-quality fashion boutiques with over 1,000 employees worldwide who handle more than 150 brands including Gucci Mane’sOffset Clothing Lineand Burberry trench coats imported direct from London! Gary Younker quickly took control of Roses fashion scene becoming one of America’s most influential retail entrepreneurs during this decade represented by many career successes including author/editor/publisher (Fashion Bible), chairman (CEO) sporting goods retailer Sports Authority Incorporated (SAI)and president(COO) Warner Lambert Entertainment Incorporated(WEI). Harry and Eldridge were both born in Hungary in 1912 and moved to the United States in 1936. They started their own coffee business in 1958, and it would eventually become known as Mage Coffee. The first products from Mage Coffee were roastable beans. It wasn’t until 1978 that they began to produce ground coffee. At first, their grinds were Maxwell House Blend, but later on they switched to Java Bean ground coffee. In addition to their coffee products, Mage also sells brewing devices and accessories such as filters, graters, and Potteries. Mage Coffee is one of the oldest continuously operating coffee companies in the United States. The company has had a long history of providing quality coffee products at an affordable price point for its customers. Their products have been praised for being fresh-tasting and unique enough to be popular among different types of consumers.

Roselle is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,451 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New York City metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Roselle was Nicholas Metzger who arrived in 1764 and named it after the rose he had seen on his journey from Philadelphia to Morristown. He also founded a log cabin (now known as Metzger's cabin) on what became known as Higgins Pond. In 1814, John Geddes purchased land east of present-day Roselle from Nicholas Metzger for $10 per acre and set about building a millrace and dam to power his new mills. By 1835, Geddes' mills had become Roselle's largest employers with an annual payroll of $50,000. The area around present day Roselle began to be developed as a suburb of Newark during the early 20th century based on its favorable location between Newark Liberty International Airport and Elizabethtown Township along Route 29 north of Lakewood Cemetery
