Endicott, New York is a small town in upstate New York, located on the north side of the Mohawk River. The population was 5,711 as of the 2010 census. Endicott is part of Erie County and is bordered by Buffalo to the east, Canandaigua to the south, and Rome to the west. The first settlers in Endicott arrived in 1795 from Albany, New York. The town was named after General Israel Putnam's estate near Utica (now Uniondale), New York. On July 1, 1814, Endicott became a village under the jurisdiction of Seneca Lake Township. In 1825 it became an incorporated town with a population of 10,000 people. In 1916–1917,[1] Endicott suffered damage from a major fire that burned for days in downtown and many buildings including both public and private institutions as well as homes were destroyed or damaged beyond repair. In 1919[2] it merged into Seneca Lake Township again with a population of 15,000 people but increasing problems led to its secession from Erie County in 1933 which had a population of 509 thousand inhabitants when it separated from Erie County. On November 3rd 1903 at 7:00 pm local time,[3][4] during World War I[5][6], John Jelliffe downed power lines within what is now downtown Endicott while trying to start his car engine; this caused over $10 million worth of damages to businesses and homes throughout Endicotts quartile along Route 9 between Canandaigua Avenue/Route 116A-B and First Street/Route 120A-B which included almost all notable residents then living or working within Artemus Town limits; this event has been called "the end" because until 1919 there had not been an assessed value placed on property damage done due to wartime activities outside traditional sources such as fires

In 1912, a new type of machine called an automatic espresso maker was developed which allowed users to make single or double shots without having to wait around for a separate pot or spoon! This made espresso easier then ever before because it could be handled quickly and easily!

The town's decline followed that of other eastern New York towns during the Great Depression. The last resident died in 1951.
