Small batch coffee is a dying breed in the United States. While there are still a few small-batch coffee roasters in America, most of these roasters have closed or relocated to other countries. Garner Coffee, however, has been brewing small batches of excellent coffee for over 25 years. Garner Coffee began as a small family-owned business in Garner, North Carolina. The first incarnation of the business was started by three brothers who bought a grocery store and roasted their own beans. Their success led them to open a second store and continue manufacturing their own beans until 2006 when they sold their business to another family-owned business that continued to roast their own beans until this day. The history of Garner Coffee goes back much further than that: the founders were actually born and raised in Garner and have always been interested in coffee. They would go on vacation every summer and bring home fresh beans from Indonesia so they could start brewing their own coffee while they were away. This eventually led to them opening up a store allong themselves – which continues to be one of the company’s main strengths today! Most people think of small batch coffee as just espresso or latte shots, but there are many different flavors and styles available thanks to the careful selection of beans used in each cup. From Java Dark Roasts to Robusta Bulls (which is made with 100% Ethiopian Jena Arabica Beans), there is something for everyone at Garner Coffee!

The first coffee beans in Garner, North Carolina were grown by John Garner in 1794. The first coffee shop on the scene was opened by his father in 1801. In 1827, A.H. Coffee and Company began operations in the town, with a store that still stands to this day. In 1886, Mr. J.C. Winston established a gristmill in Garner that still operates today as one of the oldest mills in the area.

Garner is a small town in the extreme northeast corner of North Carolina. The population was 1,813 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Durham–Fayetteville–Winston-Salem, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. Garner is located on Interstate 85 and State Highway 158, about 20 miles northwest of Raleigh. Garner was founded by English settlers in 1792 as a trading post on Catawba River. The community grew rapidly during the late 1800s due to its location at the intersection of two important trade routes: I-85 and state highways 158 and 258. In 1925, Garner became a municipally incorporated town under county jurisdiction with a total population of 3,000. During World War II, Garner was one of six towns in eastern North Carolina KIA or WIA because it supported military operations along I-85 from Decatur to Hope Mills; local residents also worked as blacksmiths for war production facilities. The town’s recovery began after the war when veterans returned home and started businesses such as grocery stores and auto dealerships. Today Garner is an active community with many cultural events occurring throughout the year including Folklorum Festival (a CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL), Fourth of July Fireworks displays from dusk until dawn each year, concerts by local artists at venues like Live Oak amphitheater and First Baptist Church every summer eve night, Harvest Festivals featuring local produce (such as corn dogs) and crafts (like quilts), family picnics at parks or parkgrounds throughout early fall/late spring/early summer—the list goes on!

Garner was a slave town in North Carolina during the 1800s. It was located on the eastern edge of the state, about 15 miles south of Raleigh. The town was founded by wealthy white men in 1809 and became a center for cotton farming around 1820. Garner was abandoned in the 1830s because of its difficult access to food and water, and it fell into decline after that. However, it continued to be inhabited until 1865, when it was burned down by Union forces during the American Civil War.
