Fresh roasted coffee has been a popular drink in the Tulsa area for over a century. The first coffee roaster in Del City was established in 1912 by J.B. King and W.H. Hargrave, two of the early settlers in the town. The business continued until 1964 when it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sennett, who operated it until their death in 1976. In that year, the business passed through several ownership changes before being sold to Mr. and Mrs. Don Stephenson in 1984-1985 (now owners of World Coffee). The Stephenson family ran the business until 2000 when it was bought by Larry Shuler who operates it currently under the name of "Harry's Coffee." Fresh roasted coffee is still made here using traditional methods including hand selection, grinding beans fresh on site, and packaging them for delivery to customers around the Tulsa area. This ensures that each cup of coffee is delicious and perfect from start to finish!

Del City, Oklahoma is home to the first coffee shop in the area and it opened in 1904. The city's first espresso machine was built by Angelo Petrini, a Italian immigrant who worked for a local grocery store. In 1951, the Italian-owned Joe's Coffee & Cafe became the first coffee shop in the Tulsa metropolitan area. In 1967, Del City united with Tulsa to form its own city government. The city's first restaurant was The French Café, which operated from 1969 to 1984. The present day Starbucksopened its doors on September 26th, 1997 as part of an effort to revive downtown Del City and make it more pedestrian friendly.

It is one of the most populous cities in Oklahoma and has been growing since its incorporation as a town in 1907. The name "Del City" comes from Spanish for "the site of white people." The city's first inhabitants were Native American. The area now known as Del City was surveyed by Captain John Smith during his exploration of central Oklahoma in 1795-96. He named it after his home town, Dona Ana de la Frontera in Extremadura, Spain. A post office called Dona Ana was established at what is now Del City in 1907. The United States Post Office Building and Annex at 231 E 6th Street was built between 1912 and 1914 as part of the Works Progress Administration program to stimulate economic development in rural areas east of Tulsa. It served as both a federal government building and an annex to Tulsa Municipal Hall until 1978 when it became the first municipal building ever destroyed by fire (and only second situated so close to an interstate). It was rebuilt on the same site under the new name First Baptist Church before becoming known as First Methodist Church again before being demolished completely in 2001 following Hurricane Floyd damage. The first large-scale roastings took place during World War II when beans were shipped from Africa to sailors on destroyer ships.
Del City is a small town located in Osage County, Oklahoma. The population was 5,574 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Osage County. The first settler in Del City was J.C. Nichols in 1881. The town began as a military post named Fort Payne and was renamed after General John A. Logan in 1907 when the United States Army abandoned Fort Payne near present-day Tulsa, Oklahoma. The city's downtown area became known for its architecture, called "the most beautiful buildings in America." The original buildings were built by local contractor Charles Weisman between 1907 and 1912 using bricks from the nearby eastern Ozark Mountains which had been mined since 1859 for lead and other minerals. Other famous architects who worked on this project include Elmo Wright and Harry Shepley Huntcoate Jr.. In 1916, $1 million was raised to build a new courthouse and jail complex within the limits of present-day Del City; it served as the county seat until 1959 when Tulsa replaced it with its current building on State Street east of First Street (known today as Cherokee Avenue). In addition to its architectural landmarks, Del City has also experienced several surges in population during its history including a total of 12,000 residents during World War II; an even larger influx following floods that swept through much of central Osage County in 1965; and 14,000 residents during Hurricane Floyd which struck Oklahoma on September 13th of that year. Afterward, Mayor Bob Bird successfully fought off plans by then-Governor David Ladd to demolish much of downtown to make room for development around Interstate 40/Upper Canada Road leading into Tulsa - an effort which resulted in what is now known as Bird Alley or "Birdtown" across from Main Street where many businesses still remain today despite being surrounding by high-density housing development since the early 21st century redevelopment wave started shortly thereafter - one result being that most of downtown remains essentially unchanged from before DeL City's heyday while adjacent neighborhoods have seen significant redevelopment such as Lofts on Main starting around 1960s followed by four large blocks along Lower Canada Road operated currently by Lenox Hill Realty Corporation
