As the United States Armed Forces continue to grow and expand, so too does their deployed gift history. From small replicas of firearms to larger tanks and armored vehicles, the military has a wide variety of gifts that can be given to members of the public. One such tradition is the deployment gift history, which is an annual event where soldiers from across the country send gifts back home to their fellow servicemen and women. This year’s event was held on October 10th and 11th in St. Marys, PA. This unique tradition began in 1947 when two Army officers traveled to Stroudsburg, PA to attend a peacekeeping conference. They brought along a large collection of weapons and armor as well as assorted items for civilians living in those days before satellite TV and internet connections made it easy for people all over the world to connect with their loved ones back home. The first deployment gift history was held at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX in 1948. Since then, every year has seen something new distributed among service members throughout America. This year’s event featured more than just gifts; there were also competitions for children between ages 5-12 who created colorful murals or designed special soldier hats for display at home (see photo below). It was an incredible experience for both kids and adults alike to see how much these Soldiers love having fun while making a positive impact on our community!

The Army has both an operational force, which is used in battle, and a support force, which provides backup and logistics support to the operational forces. The deployable force can be divided into three categories: combat units, transportation units, and communications units. Combat units are the most important part of theArmy's deployable force because they are used in battle to fight other troops or vehicles. Transportation units help move troops and equipment between locations. Communications units provide communication between different parts of the army and commanders on-scene. Combat Units There are four types of combat unit: infantry brigade Combat Teams (ICTs), armor brigade Combat Teams (ACTs), artillery brigade Combat Teams (AGCs), and air assault brigade Combat Teams (AACT). Infantry brigades are made up of infantrymen from different regiments or battalions together as well as tanks, artillery pieces, armored personnel carriers (APCs), amphibious cars, helicopters, light aircrafts, and naval vessels. Armor brigades are composed of armored personnel carriers (APCs) from different companies or battalions together as well as tanks and artillery pieces from different ships or Marine vessels. Air Assault brigades consist of helicopters from different wings together with ground forces such as tankies and infantry soldiers to carry out assaults on enemy positions using speedboats or submarines
The St. Marys County Militia has been deploying to duty in support of the United States military since 1776. The militia was organized on December 12, 1776 and became known as the "4th Pennsylvania Regiment." The regiment served in the American Revolution and were called into action at Saratoga Springs, Yorktown, and other key battles. After independence was declared, the regiment was disbanded on October 15, 1802. On October 1st of each year, the St. Marys County Militia celebrates its anniversary by visiting a nearby military installation and presenting a gift to the garrison.
St. Marys, Pennsylvania is a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania that is home to the St. Mary's Catholic Church and thevironnementally-sensitive St. John's School. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census, making it one of the most populous towns in Butler County. The first European settlers in what is now St. Marys were French colonists who founded a mission on the banks of the Monongahela River in 1748. In 1801, an act of Congress designated Butler County as part of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania so that area could be more heavily populated with white people and less inhabited by Native Americans. The name "St. Marys" was chosen because it was thought to be a holy place where Jesus had appeared to his apostles during their journey from Jerusalem to Emmaus after being betrayed by Judas Iscariot (). In 1825, Bishop James Laughlin purchased land east of town from Joseph Smith for $10 per acre (the equivalent of $ today). He began construction on what would become known as Trinity Church, which became one of America's earliest churches and also served as a schoolhouse until 1892 when it burned down following a storm。 The cornerstone for Trinity Church was laid on October 15th, 1825 by Bishop Laughlin himself and many brave pioneers including Captain John Denton helped load soil and bricks onto wagons and into trucks for transportation across the Monongahela River to build what would become one of Christianity’s largest churches ever constructed! Just over two centuries later and despite some challenges faced along its way such as fires that destroyed much property in 1951 and 2009 – StMary’s remains an internationally-recognized symbol of faith built upon love! John Geer and his wife, Margaret, took up permanent residence in St. Marys in 1814. The Geers were the first settlers on the site of present-day St. Marys, PA. The town was named for Saint Mary of the Assumption who was born in northern Italy in 496 AD and died at age 117 after being crowned Queen of Heaven by Pope Leo III. The township of St. Marys was organized on December 12, 1792 when a group of men from Pennsylvania's Juniata County gathered to form a Township Committee under the leadership of Captain John Boothman Jr.. On October 8, 1800, a new Parish Priest was appointed to serve the community of St.Marys as Revd John Ewing became the first pastor. In 1802 Revd Ewing purchased land east of what is now First Avenue and built a church which he dedicated on December 25th that year. A second church had been erected on property owned by Reverend James Cavanaugh but it burned down in 1812. A third church was built on an lot donated by Colonel Edward Porterfield which served as both worship and education center until it caught fire in 1840 while being used for storage purposes; fortunately this did not cause any damage although it did set off an extensive building project that included replacement or restoration Of many original buildings including the old schoolhouse (1841), jail (1855), Episcopal Church (1861), family farmstead barn (1863), rectory (1864) and gavel house/hubbard hall (1924). In 1854 Isaac Ivey donated land along Second Avenue between Third Street and Fourth Street to become what is now known as Ivey Park where people could picnic, fish, swim etc., though no public water supply existed at this time! During this time period there also began construction on what would become known as "The Old Town Hall" which seated about 50 people inside and 10 outside during services with ample space for picnicking or just sitting around chatting! A new Presbyterian Church was dedicated within two years following another donation from Isaac Ivey making it one of only 2 churches ever built in PA utilizing masonry instead of wood! In 1886 work began to build what would eventually become known as "Stroudsburg United Methodist Church" becoming fully operational less than 10 years later! In 1912 ground was broken for what would be called "Munroe House" becoming home to Bethlehem Steel Company until its closure in 1984!! Finally within sight once again after many delays came construction on "Newtown United Methodist Church" taking nearly 30 years total!!! Today we enjoy multiple restaurants located inside AND OUTSIDE OF THE CHURCH WITH ENOUGH PARKING FOR ALL !! Not too mention we have 3 full size pools AND 1 small pool available FOR USE ONLY BY MEMBERS OF THEChurch!! In 1784, the population of St. Marys was just over 100. The town was organized in 1814 and quickly grew in popularity as a center for trade and industry. In the early 1800s, St. Marys had a small but tight-knit community of farmers and their families who cultivated corn, beans, potatoes, apples, and other crops. Businesses thrived due to the proximity to markets in Philadelphia and Lancaster County. Over time, however, more businesses closed down or moved away as technology advanced and competition increased for jobs in larger cities. By 1900, the town had shrunk to about 30 households with few remaining businesses or residents. However, it continued to grow in popularity among tourists based on its stunning scenery and historical significance.
