The Rhode Island Air Force deployed a gift to Central Falls in 1944 as part of the war effort. The gift was a set of binoculars, which has been in the family ever since. In 2002, when the Air Force Museum opened in Central Falls, it collected and put together all of its donated items from throughout the years. Included were some of the binoculars that had been given as gifts to local residents during World War II. Since they have been gathered and organized, these binoculars have become a valuable history document for Central Falls. They are an important part of American culture and heritage, and they provide insight into how our military functioned during wartime.

One such Gift was Operation Blessing II—a humanitarian effort conducted in 2005 which sent over 1 million pounds of foodstuffs and clothing into Haiti after Hurricane Katrina devastated that country.Operation Blessing II was an incredibly successful operation, helping many families receive necessary supplies and restore some levelof normalcy to their lives before Hurricane Rita hit two years later . This event demonstrated how valuable Gifts can be when deployed abroad; it allowed for increased interaction between American citizens and Haitianians, who had never seen such care coming from any source before . It was through this event that we began seeing more cases where Gifts could actually improve relationships between nations instead of exacerbating them
In 1935, the Rhode Island Air National Guard was activated and deployed to Nicaragua to provide airlift for president Franklin D. Roosevelt's Monterey Peninsula trip. The gift of an airplane and its hangar was donated by the Central Falls Chamber of Commerce in honor of the Air National Guard's deployment.
Central Falls, Rhode Island is a townsite located in central Rhode Island on the Providence River. The population of Central Falls was 8,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Providence- Warwick- Fall River Combined Statistical Area. Central Falls was chartered as a town by Act of Legislature No. 389, March 11th, 1818. At that time it lay between Pawtucket and Fall River on both banks of the river. The first public meeting which took place in this town occurred on January 22nd, 1819 when six citizens were present to transact business relating to lands they had acquired from John Dexter. A committee was appointed to purchase land for a school and church near where now stands theorge Washington High School; but before they could act upon their proposition three gentlemen came with an offer to sell them all they wanted for $1 per acre (then $ ). This news created much excitement and induced many people to make applications for seats on the board of education; but as no appli cations were received within two months after its organization, it appears that no person desired to become a part of what then seemed an exclusively rural community. The first store built in Central Falls was that owned by Mr. Howell about two miles east of town along Narragansett Bayou. In 1830 Messrs Briggs & Cushing erected a milldam across Narragansett Bayou just below what is now known as Briggs’ Bridge and started grinding corn thereon until 1840 when water capability made grinding necessary elsewhere in town; thenceforth mills were built at various points around town until about 1860 when only one continued in operation – that belonging to Messrs Waller & Sargent near Center Street intersection today). In 1847 Drs Williams & Pemberton organized a Female Seminary here under the auspices of Mrs Granger which still survives (currently closed). In 1848 John Brown ennobled Alfred Tucker as one “of his most favored few friends” who had been instrumental in helping him get his start as an entrepreneur and politician in Rhode Island – notable among these are being speaker at several state conventions during Brown’s term as governor from 1850-1852, chairing House Ways and Means Committee from 1861-1865, ranking member on Senate Judiciary Committee from 1865-1867 and serving twice consecutively as Mayor pro tempore (March 4th thru May 7th inclusive) during David Griffiths term (see photo below). He also served one term limit mayoralty without interruption from 1880 thru 1886 due to death prior thereto . Alfred Tucker died suddenly on October 26th 1888 at age 53 years old leaving behind 1 daughter Alice who married her cousin George Wuerzbicka later becoming Governor Pro Tempore for RI from 1990–1994 . There are more than 50 descendants living currently or formerly associated with Central Falls including some 6 grandchildren born since 1978! That same year Henry Bedell became president/CEO emeritus at Brown University effective July 1st 1990 succeeding Carroll Graduate President Richard Muddanion who retired following 31 years service thereto starting July 1st 1988!Bedell left Brown Univ after 31 years service having been elected 19 timesAs Chairman or CEO Emeritus …
The USAF has a long and proud history of deploying gifts to its allies and partners. The Directorate of Air Force Logistics (AFL) supports the commander in chief by providing the resources needed to support national security objectives through the deployment of airmen, equipment, and supplies. The AFL was created on October 1, 1947 as part of the Air Force reorganization following World War II. The AFL was charged with providing all aspects of air force logistics for general use by the wings and commands throughout the USAF. Today, AFL provides direction, control, storage, distribution and delivery systems for 30 million items across 1 million square feet at McConnell-Farrell AFB in Arizona. In addition to this facility’s capabilities as an air cargo hub serving 45 countries worldwide, AFL also manages three other depots which provide basic requirements for fighter jets such as engines, landing gear and other critical system components. These include Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma City; Offutt AFB in Nebraska; and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. Air Force Gifts

Central Falls, Rhode Island located on Narragansetts Bay, is the largest city in Rhode Island. The City of Central Falls was founded by English settlers in 1781 and named for the falls that bound the river at its mouth. The original town was built on a peninsula surrounded by the falls and developed into a small farming community. In 1814, centralfalls became an incorporated village after voters approved a charter amendment creating the city. On December 15, 1854, when Vermont took over New Hampshire’s state government, centralfalls became part of Rhode Island as well. Since then it has been one of the most vibrant and cultural cities in New England. The history of centralfalls can be traced back to early colonial times when English settlers arrived in what is now centralfalls looking for land to farm and trade with Native Americans. By 1781, some 8-10 British families had settled hereabouts and began trading goods with the local natives including fur traders from Nova Scotia and Maine who traded furs for objects such as pottery or clothing. One such trader was John Hancock who operated out of what is now known as National Avenue in downtown centralfalls from about 1790 until his death in 1800 AD. In fact, many early colonial businesses were started out of necessity due to lack of other transportation options available at that time such as water or road transport which made Trading Post Road one of the first streets in centralfalls (now Main Street). One important development associated with this period was the construction of Catawba River Bridge which connected town eastward to Providence via Catawba Creek (now Narragansett Bay). This bridge facilitated commerce between eastern Massachusetts and western Rhode Island becoming an important link during early Colonial days linking both settlements together along their respective borders providing access to fresh seafood markets from inland while also permitting easy passage through difficult terrain for horses/oxen cart traffic crossing open waterways at high speeds! In addition to its economic importance; Catawba River Bridge also served as a physical barrier between two rival militia groups vying for control over Providence during late eighteenth century RI independence movements; The Patriots vs The Loyalists! Noted Patriot General John Sullivan constructed this towering structure across Catawba Creek - another significant milestone in RI's emerging modern era! It wasn't until after King George III's War (1775-1783) that coastal communities along Narragansett Bay came under attack by French pirates seeking plunder including shipments destined for Paris based East India Company ships operating off Pawtucket Harbor including some 1 million pounds worth sterling seized during these raids!!! Consequently; many Revolutionary War veterans returning home found their former homes abandoned & plundered leaving behind stories & artifacts documenting various aspects of RI’s tumultuous history!!! Many old cannons still remain today situated around town – signals that even today’s residents are not withoutHistory!!!
