Belton is a small town in the Texas Panhandle, located on the banks of the Brazos River. The population was 9,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of Midland County. Belton was founded in 1881 by J.C. Belton and his family. The town began as a trading post on the Brazos River and grew to include a sawmill, gristmill, bakery, hotel, grocery store and other businesses over time. In 1916, Belton became an incorporated municipality with a mayor-council government under which it continued to grow until its incorporation into Midland County in 1980. Elections are held every four years with all citizens voting on general questions including those pertaining to school board membership & finance; police chief; fire marshal; planning & zoning; property tax rates & assessment; etc., although special elections may be called by councilors when their term expires or upon request from either party’s candidate for president or any other office declared vacant by state or federal law/ rule etc.). Belton has two churches: Mount Zion Baptist Church – founded in 1881 – and First Presbyterian Church – built in 1903). There are also several schools within walking distance of the community: Methodist Episcopal School (grades K-12), Baylor University High School (9-12), Holy Rosary Catholic School (Prekindergarten through 8th grade) and Our Lady Of Guadalupe Roman Catholic School (9-12). Additionally, there are several sporting events staged annually within walking distance of BelTON Stadium which includes football games between Midland West High School's varsity team & Baylor University's freshman team followed by baseball games between Highland Park HS' varsity team & Lamar Hill HS' freshman team followed by soccer games between East Fork Christian Academy's first team & North Platte Community College's second team due to their shared location across from Lamar Hill HS'.

In 1912, the first commercial production began at the nearby Cimahi Estate. In 1922, maga coffee beans were exported to London where they became one of the most popular types of coffee available. In 1951, maga coffee was designated as an official Indonesian Coffee variety by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In 1974, Indonesia's first maga coffee processing plant was established in Tegal. By 1981, there were over 100 maga coffee processing plants across Indonesia.
Belton, Texas is a small town in the southern portion oftx. It was founded in 1881 by John and Anna Belton. The town grew quickly due to its location on the Arkansas River. The Beltons were able to start a cotton mill in 1884 and an insurance company in 1886. In 1903, the town had a population of 350 people and it became an all-male school district. In 1954, the all-female school district was merged with the male one and Belton became a part of McLennan County. The population declined rapidly during the 1970s and 1980s as oil discoveries increased production in nearby Fort Worth. However, recent growth has seen Belton become one of the most thriving towns in McLennan County. Today,Belton features several businesses such as restaurants, grocery stores, banks, health clinics, schools and more.
