Big Spring, Texas is a city in Webb County, Texas on the banks of the Trinity River. The population was 27,564 at the 2010 census. The name Big Spring comes from "Bighorn Springs," which were located near where the city stands today. One of the first coffee roasters in Big Spring was John Wesley Hardin's Coffee & Tea shop in 1875. The first Starbucks store opened in 1993 in what is now called Main Street Station. Big Spring became a coffee town when New Braunfels Brewery started brewing coffee there in 1994. In 2000, Starbucks bought out San Antonio-based Peet's Coffee & tea company for $1 billion and began manufacturing its own coffee products there starting that year. That same year, Starbucks also opened its first location outside of North America - an office complex called "Starbucks Center" near State College University in Pennsylvania). In 2002, Starbucks added two more stores to its empire - one in Dallas and one adjacent to Cowboys Stadium - giving it six stores nationwide by 2006. In 2007, they made their debut as an online retailer with their own website and e-commerce platform called "Starbucks Online". By 2009, they had increased their number of stores by 10 to 20 locations across the United States (including 5 inside NFL stadiums)

Big Spring, Texas is a small town located in Dallas County, Texas. The population was 3,812 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The name Big Spring comes from the spring that flows through the town. The first permanent settler in Big Spring was Jno. Hennepin, who arrived in 1847. A post office called Big Spring was established in 1851, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1853, James Bowie built a cabin on what is now Main Street in Big Spring. He and his wife had six children and helped bring about development within the community as they opened up a general store, plowed land for farming, built a schoolhouse and other infrastructure needs. In 1878, Wm Atherton purchased 160 acres of land east of present day Main Street for $10 per acre from James Bowie and began to cultivate this land into corn and cotton plantations which he named "Atherton's Prairie". In 1898 when George Waco burned down his family's home near Wichita Falls (now Wichita Falls Municipal Airport), Waco's brother-in-law Jno Folsom set out to rebuild their house just west of town on what is now FM 726 between Highway 604 (Waco Boulevard) and FM 620 (John Wesley Harding Parkway). After rebuilding it with red brick walls and stone siding using materials brought over by Folsom from Wichita Falls – including some old family furniture – he renamed it "Folsom's House" after himself because he felt like he had finally accomplished something special in life despite his humble beginnings. The early 20th century saw periodic growth within Big Spring due to railroads being constructed through the area such as the Dallas & Houston Railway Company which connected Fort Worth with Dallas via Little Rock & Amarillo Railroad Company mainline trackage running parallel to US 75 south of present day Main Street; both companies merged into American National Railway Company circa 1909 which continued operations until 1971 when all tracks were removed completely except for one line providing access to Ft Worth Industrial Park north of town along I-635/exact alignment of current US 75/ Old Shreveport Road intersection where Pecan Place Motel currently stands stood until 1983 when its demolition initiated following purchase by TX Parks Commission during initiative TX Parks 2020 campaign
Big Spring is a town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The first post office in Big Spring was established on November 25, 1872. Big Spring is named after springs near the town site. The name comes from a Cherokee word meaning "ponds". In 1884, the Texas Central Railroad built a branch line from Lubbock to Big Spring and renamed it the Big Spring Branchline Company Railway. In 1907, US 84 was completed concurrent with US 191 and became known as Loop I-20 Highway. In 1948, when Lone Star Highway was created and routed through Hudspeth County, Big Spring became an incorporated community under federal law under its new name of "Big Springs", which it retains to this day (despite being spelled "Bigg Springs" throughout most of its history). In 1951, when Interstate 10 was rerouted through Hudspeth County as well, Big Springs lost its incorporated status but still retained its ZIP code 76522 due to its proximity to Austin proper. On July 15th 1960 an oil field explosion killed four people and injured thirteen others in what would become known as the Houston Explosion; this event increased public attention to safety concerns around energy production in North Texas and led to passage of laws regulating the industry in that state later that year. On December 5th 1966 local citizens successfully petitioned for incorporation into their city limits following years of discussion surroundingtown's potential growth potential due largely to high unemployment rates among African American residents at that time."
