It is part of the Amarillo, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Austin-Travis County, TX Combined Statistical Area. The area that now makes up Ennis was first settled by Scots-Irish refugees in 1849. In 1860, James Fenton established an oil refinery here and named it after himself. By 1870, Ennis had become a busy cotton Trademarking center with its own steamboats used to transport goods between Ennis and Amarillo. In 1898, John Hance opened his grocery store in what is now downtown Ennis and soon became one of the town's most popular businesses. Over time other stores followed suit until all but one of the original downtown stores have since closed or been replaced by more modern buildings. Today Main Street still Contains many of the early pioneers' homes as well as some of today's local historical landmarks such as The Fenton Oil Refinery which has been renovated multiple times and offers tours to visitors each day during summertime! One significant event that took place in Ennis during this time were two World Wars which saw much activity here including production at The Fenton Oil Refinery onMain Street from 1942-1945 (the plant produced over 100 million pounds of oil!). After World War II ended, many residents left for various reasons including farmsteads west of town being developed into subdivisions; however many return home every year to see their old streets and homes come back into existence! I would like to spend a little bit more time talking about my family’s experience living in this small town – they are amazing people who have been there through thick and thin! My parents were born and raised here so I grew up going to school in downtown Ennis next door to The Fenton Oil Refinery where I learned how important it was for kids not just to get along with everyone but also be able to contribute something back! I think that being able to help your community is really special stuff! And finally, I want to talk about some things that make this place so great: friendly people who care about you no matter what – even if you ain’t got nothing good Yelp writein’ about tonight; fast internet with no wait times anywhere; always plenty ol’ water available without ever having trouble finding it; great schools (not counting high school), easy access onto Interstate 40 which runs right through town (you can buy food at any gas station); beautiful weather all year round – perfect for taking pictures outside on Main Street when everything else looks like too hard work!

By 1856, all but one country in Europe had its own commercial roaster. The first espresso machines were made by Angelo Bicchieri in 1892 and quickly became popular throughout Italy and other parts of Europe. This machine was used to make two types of coffee: Italian espresso and Parisian café-lemonade (a sweet drink prepared from water and lemon). The Italians took particular pride in their handmade espresso machines which would often be decorated with carved wood carvings, gold leafwork, ornaments, or gilded brass fittings. However, during World War II most cafes stopped serving espresso because it was not feasible to produce enough caffeine for military purposes. However, some companies such as Lavazza continued making espresso until 1971 when they merged into Italian drinks giant Mondelēz International Incorporated

The town's namesake, John Ennis, was a rancher who came to Texas from County Donegal, Ireland in 1853. He started out as a farmer and later served as mayor of Ennis before dying in 1893. The Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) was established in Ennis in 1907 by American scientists working on agriculture research projects abroad. In 1934 the AES moved to its current building on Main Street and continues to operate today as one of America's leading environmental research institutions. The city of Ennis was founded in 1935 when it merged with the neighboring towns of White Sands and San Angelo.
