National Guard gifts have been a part of the Little Elm community for over sixty years. The generosity of individuals and organizations has allowed the Little Elm National Guard to flourish as a volunteer force. The first national guard gift was given in 1936 by Mrs. Phebe Hodge, wife of Major General James Hodge. Mrs. Hodge donated two rifles and twenty rounds of ammunition to the Little Elm Guard. This gift helped initiate the Unit into whichLittle Elm eventually became affiliated with the National Guard Bureau. In 1941, Colonel W C Bramlett donated a rifle and fifty rounds of ammunition to the Little Elm National Guard unit known as “The Buffalos†after his home town in Buffalo, New York. This donation also initiated Unit into whichLittle Elm eventually became affiliated with the National Guard Bureau. In 1951, Mr. Willard Wiseman gave five shotguns to the Little Elm GuardsmenUnit known as The Eagles because Wiseman had served with The Eagles in World War II while living in Wichita Falls, Texas! This donation also initiated Unit into whichLittle Elm eventually becomes affiliated with the National Guard Bureau. In 1971, Mrs Betty Browndon gifted an AR-15 rifle to our unit known as The Cowboy Bebop’s (BBPs) after her husband Bud Browndon served tours in Vietnam with tears streaming down his face! This donation also initiated Unit into whichLittle Elm eventually becomes affiliated withthe National Guard Bureau

Little Elm, Texas is a small town located in the eastern part of Texas. The population was 3,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hidalgo County and has a rich history dating back to 1836. Little Elm is known for its annual Cotton Blossom Festival which takes place in early February. The first settler in Little Elm was John Larkin who arrived in 1836. Larkin founded what is now called Larkin’s Grove on the east side of town. He named his farm Little Elm after his home state of Illinois, where he had been born and raised. More settlers followed and by 1840, Little Elm had a Presbyterian church and a post office. In 1846, three men from Missouri arrived at Big Oak Creek Ranch and purchased 1,200 acres (500 ha) of land southeast of town to build a new center for cattle ventures called Enterprise Park. The name Enterprise was chosen because it signified progress or enterprise throughout Indian Territory as well as being appropriate for an American ranching center since Englishman had only visited this area once before—in 1794 when James Kenedy explored the area that would later become Dallas County! This park became one of the most popular tourist destinations in the community and remain so to this day! In later years, Enterprise Park also hosted fairs and other events that attracted visitors from all over southeastern Texas! During World War II many local businesses participated in production feats such as making munitions or constructing airfields; many young people worked on these projects while they attended school or took jobs during wartime shortages. After war ended there were no immediate plans for expansion but rather growth stalled until 1964 when Interstate 10 was built through Hidalgo County cutting off much needed access to shopping malls south of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport! With more traffic now available out-of-town residents began moving into Little Elm creating anew some old community values like neighbourliness & respectability that continue today with elected officials always keeping an open mind towards maintaining those same traditions
The National Guard has a rich history dating back to the Revolutionary War. The first national guard units were raised in 1775, and by 1800, there were over 1,500 active guardsmen across the United States. In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson ordered the consolidation of all military forces into one national guard unit. The present-day National Guard was activated on July 26, 1935. It is made up of two brigades (12 infantry battalions each), 18 artillery battalions (3 batteries each), and 114 air assault units (10 squadrons). There are also numerous state militias that are not part of the National Guard but support it in various ways.

The population of Little Elm declined from its highpoint in the early 1920s until it reached its current level around 2010 but there are plans for redevelopment based on new population growth potential and local trends
