The history of Seagoville, Texas' gourmet coffee begins with the first coffee beans being roasted in 1872 by a German immigrant, Johann Gottlieb Kapp. The town was named after him and his wife, Margarethe, who ran a grocery store near the intersection of Elm and Parker Streets. In 1907, Dutch immigrants Johannes Witte and Cornelius Hellinger founded the Hellinger Coffee Company in Seagoville. The company became one of the largest coffee roasters in Texas and made its mark on the region's flavor palate. In 1970, Angelo's Coffee began importing coffee from Indonesia for Seagoville residents to enjoy. The following year, Angelo's Coffee opened its own roasting plant in order to further develop their Indonesian-based beans. Today, Angelo's Coffee is one of the most well-known gourmet coffee brands in Texas.
Seagoville is a small town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Seagoville began as a simple trading post on the banks of the Colorado River in 1876. It grew rapidly as a result of its location on an important route linking Dallas and Fort Worth with shipping and trade along the river. The post office was established in 1881 and became one of the largest in Texas. The growth of Seagoville led to its incorporation as a municipality in 1907. In 1925, Seagoville annexed portions of neighboring towns White Settlement and Palestine which made it one of only two municipalities within Tarrant County to do so during that period. As a municipal government, Seagoville had full control over local elections and budgets; however, it did not have authority over schools or other municipal services such as streetlights or water supplies. In 1951, Seagoville seceded from Tarrant County and became an independent city under laws passed by its own council. Despite having autonomy from county government, some residents still felt they were subject to county-wide policies and procedures like taxes and building permits while living inside their municipally owned buildings (known as "town squares"). In 1984, Seagovillo approved ordinances establishing regulations requiring all new homes built after that date be rented out through real estate agents rather than purchased outright because many homeowners were not able to afford to buy property after leaving high-paying military jobs overseas during World War II. This move increased demand for housing among civilians seeking stability following the end of hostilities while reducing available land for sale within town square boundaries

In 1930, Seagoville had a population of 1,362 residents; its peak years were from 1940 to 1945 when it reached 2,951 residents. In 2000, its population decreased to 592; its lowest point since 1990. Some of the attractions that make Seagoville an attractive place to live include its beaches and mountains which are very close by as well as its variety of restaurants and shops that offer unique products and services for local residents and visitors alike.
Seagoville was founded in 1836 by William Seagrave. The town served as a port of call on the Texas-Mexico Frontier, and during its early years it had a population of around 100 people. In 1840, Seagrave and his family moved to present-day Lubbock, Texas, and the town continued to grow until it reached its current size in 1870. After serving as the capital of Hudspeth County from 1876 until 1880, Lubbock became the county seat in 1881. The city officially began operations on July 1, 1907.
