It wasn’t until 1912 when two brothers named Harry and Earl Beasley bought the plantation and changed it into some sort of commercial enterprise known as Beasley Bros., Incorporated (BBI). BBI became one of the leading café companies in Dallas/Fort Worth area by 1929 when they opened their first shop at 10th Street and Elm Avenue in downtown Dallas. From then on until 1971 BBI operated over 1,500 cafés throughout North America including Texas alone! Their signature product was their famous “maga†coffee which they enjoyed serving hot or cold throughout much of North America during these years. This popular drink satisfied many thirsts across different parts of North America due to its unique flavor profile that included cinnamon, nutmeg, peppermint extract, etcetera.
