Cedar City, Utah is a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 559 at the 2010 census. Cedar City is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Cedar City was James Wickersham on July 24, 1847. He and his family built the first log cabin in what is now downtown Cedar City. The town was named after Samuel Cedar, one of the original owners of the land which included Cedar City and today's Provo-Orem metropolitan area. By 1860, CedarCity had a population of 350 people and it achieved its current size by 1870 when it had a total population of 1,100 people. In 1887 Hatch & Company erected an Ethiopian mission church called Zion Lutheran Church that became known as Hatch's First Missionary Baptist Church (now). It served as the main Protestant religious center for Weber County until 1915 when Brigham Young organized Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo and closed all missions within Weber County. Cedar City experienced significant growth during World War II with generous government assistance given to help wartime businesses expand and create new jobs for local citizens; however, much like most cities during this time period post-war growth slowed significantly due to lack of economic opportunity created by war-related destruction and recession throughout much of America not just in Utah but also nationally. However since 2000s there has been some resurgence with various redevelopment projects taking place including a new light rail station being built adjacent to I-15 exit 221B/22A which will increase access for residents Downtown while preserving historic properties nearby During2017 mayoral campaign candidate Darlene Griffiths mentioned plans to add 400 new apartments or homes over 10 years downtown shouldInitial development proposals fall short on funding dollarsAccordingly city manager Ghazi Aslam announced preliminary development plans have been filed with county commissioners that would see demolition/redevelopment/new construction at Indian School Road & State Streetwould replace an existing WalMart store currently occupying space at that location; increased parking would be available along State Street

Trucks - A number of donations from member unit commanders over time have allowed for purchase of trucks specifically designed for use by Coastal Command activities inside/outside coastal communities including: emergency response vehicles such as ambulances, commandeered heavy equipment,and even a few runabouts! Each donation has had a positive impact on how we arrive at our missions within coastal communities. For example; during Hurricane Sandy in November 2012 truck #5408 was donated from Commander Matthew Kuehnke (Newport News) which allowed responders access into evacuation areas much earlier than would otherwise be possible! Mug - A mug made especially for Coastal Command personnel features a message signed by many members including Admiral Rickover who personally delivered it along with an inscribed "Thank You" note after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005
