Gun gift history in Heber, Utah began with the purchase of a shotgun from Jack and Jill at the HEBER GUN SALOON on December 14, 1951. The shotgun was purchased by Arlene Petersen from her father-in-law, Harry Jorgensen. It is believed that this shotgun was the first gun to be imported into Heber. The next firearm to be bought in Heber was a .22 caliber rifle on November 2, 1952 from Lou Englund of Ogden. This rifle was purchased by Arlene Petersen’s husband, Ron Petersen. It is also believed that this rifle was the first gun to be used in combat in Heber Valley during World War II. On October 15, 1954, John Wm. Pfeffer of Cottonwood Heightsbarrel store located downtown started selling firearms through his door. At this time guns were not commonly sold through retail stores like they are today and were instead only available to purchase through government or military auctions or from personal friends or family members. Gun auctioneers would buy individual firearms and sell them back at a later date for a higher price due to their limited inventory of firearms at that time. John Pfeffer’s business model for selling firearms at his store changed when he met George Weems who offered him a deal; If Pfeffer could get 10 rifles per week from customers then he would give away free rifles to anyone who brought them in for sale! This low demand for guns led to Pfeffer being able to sell more rifles than he ever thought possible and eventually opened his own shop called “The Rifle Shop” which still operates today as part of the Joe Weems Gun Store chain! On January 1st 1957 Arlene Petersen married Roy Fenton and together they moved into their current home which had been built as an outbuilding on the property where The Rifle Shop now stands! They soon after welcomed their first child Charlie into the world! It is interesting to note that both Arlene and Roy were avid shooters and even became operators of their own shooting range which is still operating today within walking distance of their home (The Roy Fenton Shooting Range). In addition to owning their own shooting range, Arlene also operated her own lumberyard/logging company which continued until her death in 1984; she left behind many valuable antique firearms along with several acres of land adjacent to her logging company allowing future generations access to these same resources! A very important aspect of our community’s history related specifically to gun gifting is the fact that individuals often contributed money towards purchasing new handguns rather than simply giving them away gratis; this gesture has often been referred to as “gun swapping”1!2!!3!!4!!5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heber City, Utah is a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 21,393 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Weber County and home to the Heber City Airport. The first permanent settler in Heber City was Wm. H. Swenson in 1876. He had come from Illinois and named his new town after himself, Heber Springs in that year's Great Salt Lake Valley Census. In 1903, Jno. Fenton built a sawmill on the east side of the valley and began processing logs for export to California and other parts of thewestern US during what became known as "the logging boom." The hemlock lumber industry declined after World War II but remains an important part of local economy with various mills still operating today including one owned by Slagel Paper & Forestry which processes softwood lumber for furniture and other products such as plywood and particleboard

Heber, Utah is a town in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 2,846 at the 2010 census. Heber was founded in 1847 by Italian immigrants on the San Juan River. The name Heber comes from Hebrew meaning "highest" and "hill." The first post office in Heber was established in 1855. The present-day town was platted in 1867 by members of the LDS Church as part of a land grant to them from Brigham Young. The original settlement consisted of about fifty homes and two stores. In 1870, Mormon pioneers arrived from Canada and began farming the area around Heber. By 1879, some seventy families were living in Heber with a total population of about one hundred. A year later, the first school was built for students in the community and served until 1915 when it became a hospital. In 1895, hemlock trees were planted along Main Street to provide lumber for buildings in downtown Heber; these trees still stand today! In 1907–1909 an LDS chapel/temple was built on top of Mt Carmel hill overlooking downtown HeBERT while construction proceeded on what would become Provo City Hall which opened on November 17th 1909 It sat empty until 1968 when it became home to city hall before being moved into its current location across Main Street from Pioneer Square on January 15th 1998
Heber was founded in 1847 by the Mormon pioneers. The town was named after Heber C. Kimball, who had been a captain in the LDS Battalion that fought in Utah’s first war of independence. In 1851, Heber became the county seat of Wasatch County and is still the seat today.
