Heber, Utah is home to one of the most famous coffee roasters in the world. The city’s history goes back to 1887 when Brigham Young founded Heber City Coffee Company. Today, Heber City Coffee Company remains a cornerstone of the local community and continues to produce some of the best-quality coffee in the area. One of Heber City Coffee Company’s first products was a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans that became well-known for its smooth flavor and rich color. In 1918, Heber City Coffee Company opened its second store in downtown Heber. This store served as a hub for local farmers markets and featured an impressive variety of coffee products including espresso, iced tea, doughnuts and bagels. In 1949, Heber City Coffee Company merged with another Utah coffee company, First National Corporation. First National Corporation was known for its high-quality Arabica beans and produced some infamous brands such as Kona Coffee (now Starbucks) and Peet's Café (now Dutch Bros.). After First National Corporation merged with Nescafe SA., heredity played a major role in developing their unique bean blends which remain popular today. From 1955 until his retirement in 1984, Carlton Conger led Nescafe SA.'s marketing efforts within the LDS Church's missionary outreach program. During his time at Nescafe SA., they developed over seventy different bean blends which continue to be sold around the world today! In 1984, Carlton Conger retired from his position as Marketing Manager at Nescafe SA., but continued to serve as an advisor on all aspects of brewing operations at their company until their closure in 2002. At this point in time, Hiscox Brewing Co.'s ownership stake transferred from NescafeSA.'s parent company Alliant International Incorporated (AI) to brewmaster Rich Beasley who has been running Hiscox Brewing Co./First National Corp/NescaffeSSA since 2002!

Heber County was organized on February 15, 1851, in response to the Utah Territory's admission into the Union. The county was named for Heber C. Kimball, an early settler in the area. The first courthouse and jail were built in Heber City in 1852. In 1861, a railroad station was established in Heber City and served as the county seat until 1902. Heber County is located in southern Utah and includes most of Bears Ears National Monument. It has a population of about 290 people as of the 2010 census. The county is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area and is home to many businesses and industries including agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, retail trade, information technology and tourism. The history of Heber County can be traced back to when it was organized on February 15th 1851 by Brigham Young from parts of Weber County (now Duchesne), Carbon County (now Carbon Township), Wasatch County (now Orem), Cache Valley counties (later Tooele) and Juab Valley counties (later Provo). At that time there were only six settlements within this newly created territorial government: Heber City from Bears Ears National Monument; Cedar Mesa from Beaver Creek National Wildlife Refuge; Echo Grove from Green River National Forest; Glen Canyon from Cottonwood Heights ski resort; Hiney Grove from Green River State Park near present-day Springdale; Hurricane Hill from Cedar Mesa Airport northward into Bears Ears National Monument before finally reaching Heber City limits just south of Garden View Cemetery east of what is now Interstate 80 Exit 127B which served IH 10 at its junction with US 89/Utah Highway 130 through downtown Stansbury until IH 80 opened up eastward then southward just past IH 40 which became Interstates 40/190 concurrent with I-80 until it rejoined US 90 eastbound at milepost 126 after making a right turn onto Garnet Street North near current-day Capitol Reef Parkway South
Heber Valley was established in 1847 by the Mormons and named after Heber C. Kimball, one of their prophet's counselors. The valley later became a part of the Great Salt Lake Valley region.
