There has been a national guard gift history in Lindon, Utah since the early 1800s. The first national guard unit was organized in 1847, and it served as a militia force to support the Territorial government. The first regiment of national guards was formed in 1861, and it served until 1865. In 1917, the United States Congress created the National Guard Bureau under the Department of War to provide for greater coordination between state and federal efforts against World War I. The bureau authorized the purchase of firearms by members of the national guard for use during wartime. From 1917 through 1922, the bureau sold rifles, shotguns, machine guns, grenades, and other military equipment to member states of the Union. In 1934, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered all existing active duty military forces be dissolved and replaced by a pool of civilian volunteers called the National Civilian Defense Corps (NCC). Each state then established its own NCC force with responsibility for defense within their borders. The Lindon City Council passed an ordinance establishing Lindon's first city guard on April 21st 1915. The council also ordered that each citizen is expected to contribute two dollars per month towards arming and equipped local guardsmen. On October 1st 1915, Mayor J H White turned over one hundred ninety-six handguns to local guardsmen as part of an agreement betweenLindon City Hall and Governor WAC Atkins Hughes pertaining to collective security during World War I hostilities. On December 15th 1915 Mayor White presented an act authorizing $2 incentive payments from each business owner who supplied arms or ammunition for municipal guardsmen in time for Christmas vacation 1916; this program continued until 1919 when regulations were changed so that no individual could furnish arms or ammunition without prior written consent from both city hall and state police department officials responsible for law enforcement within municipal boundaries (i.e., mayor/councilor). The final organized group made up entirely of civilians was activated on February 6th 1921 when 100 citizens enlisted into what became known as "The Volunteer Force". This organization was designed specifically to provide labor services within Lindon during peacetime conditions which would not have otherwise been possible due to prohibition laws at that time prohibiting citizens from owning firearms outside their homes or carrying them on their person anywhere in town limits (this exception being made for professional soldiers who were exempted from these provisions by regulation number 31009 dated November 12th 1920). On July 5th 1922 a new ordinance established rates per hour worked by volunteer Guardsmen at various businesses located throughout town limits; these rates were raised every two months with inflation adjustments based upon Uinta County's general rate schedule published monthly by county assessor James Tatum (i.e., $1=100 cents in 1917-1920; $1=105 cents 1921-1925; $1=110 cents 1926-1929). By late 1923 there existed several private companies specializing in supplying weaponry (mainly pistols) directly to Guardsmen via bartering or mail order arrangements; these firms are noted below with brief descriptions: On January 10th 1924Ordinance No 2269 went into effect regulating uniform production & distribution thereof among private individuals (& other agencies) engaged therein . . . Lindon, Utah is a small town in the U.S. state of Utah that is located on the Wasatch Front. The population was 1,287 at the 2010 census. Lindon is named after American Revolutionary War General James Dennison Lindon and his brother-in-law, George Armstrong Custer. Lindon was founded in 1882 by G H Wilson and W H Moffett as a small farming community on an area now known as Fort Craig Ranch. In 1932, the town's post office was renamed to honor General James Dennison Lindon and his brother-in-law, George Armstrong Custer who had died in battle two years earlier while serving with General Billy Mitchell's forces during World War I. The original dam which held water for irrigation purposes still stands today adjacent to Main Street in downtown Lindon. The economy of Lindon has been largely based on agriculture with some light manufacturing activity since its founding; however, this has declined over time as more new businesses have opened up in nearby towns such as Provo or Ogden which enjoy better economic prospects due to their larger populations and more developed infrastructure than Lindon doesbserviceable acres per capita (6). In 2007, a new business park called Park Place was opened near downtown Lindon consisting of several hundred new jobs including construction and related services; it has since become one of the most popular commercial areas in town with restaurants, stores and other businesses looking to locate theredue to its easy access to transportation (7).

Lindon, Utah is a town in Cache County, Utah. The population was 1,953 at the 2000 census. Lindon is located on the southern edge of Cache Valley and has a full view of the Staircase to Heaven National Monument. It is well known for its cattle business and cotton farming. It was founded by Mormons in 1847 as an agricultural community on the edge ofCache Valley. After Brigham Young's death in 1851, many of his followers moved to Lindon to continue their missionary work. The first school opened in 1865 and the first post office was established in 1870. In 1923, Lindon became an incorporated town under state law. Lindon had one paper mill until it closed in 1986 due to low sales volumes. Today, most industries are related to agriculture which continues to be the mainstay of Lindon's economy. The retail sector has become increasingly important with online shopping becoming more popular among residents over time; however, there are still some small businesses that operate within the Retail Sector including two restaurants and four boutiques
Lindon was founded in 1847 by several families who were driven out of the area by the Utah War. The town grew rapidly and soon became a center for Mormon missionaries, wheat farming, and cattle ranching. In 1907, Lindon incorporated as a city. During the 1920s and 1930s, Lindon experienced significant growth due to its location at the intersection of Routes 15 and 119. Lindon also played an important role in the development of Salt Lake City.
