South Charleston, West Virginia is a town in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 1,906 at the 2010 census. It is bordered by Mingo County to the north and east; Greenbrier County to the south; Mineral County to the west and southwest; and Pickens County to the northwest. The town was first established in 1792 as a post office called Southwark. It moved from its original location in what is now Mingo County to what is now South Charleston in 1819. The town was renamed for General Joseph Ewing during the American Civil War because of his role as military commander of Confederate forces within Union territory. In 1865, after Union troops captured many key Confederates within their borders, General Ewing ordered all remaining Confederate forces within West Virginia disarmed and destroyed. In 1868, North Carolina awarded South Charleston an honorary status as a city on account of its hosting of a major exposition celebrating North Carolina's statehood while also showcasing local artisanship and architecture. This event led to increased tourism popularly known as "The Year of Our Lord 1868" which helped increase business activity in South Charleston throughout much of that decade long boom period that followed until around World War II when heavy industry ended up decimating sustained job levels throughout much rural Appalachia due largely to technology advancements made outside those areas-local innovation being unable or unwilling (or too costly) to keep up with timescale/costs associated with such moves away from traditional manufacturing base& thereby impoverishing Appalachian regions where jobs had traditionally been created-forgoing both economic opportunities intrinsic thereto & social stabilityribbon pullings together resulting in region becoming more divided along ethnic lines than ever before before (& increasingly so among younger generations).

The first known reference to the term " tactical coffee" was in 1898 when American General John J. Pershing mentioned that he preferred Turkish coffee over regular civilian java because it gave his troops an edge in battle. As technology improved, so too did the ways in which commanders could provide these same benefits to their troops. In 1916, Lieutenant Colonel John Hargrave developed what would become known as "Hargrave's Coffee." This new drink was designed to give infantrymen a quick energizing fix before battle while still allowing them to maintain their situational awareness. By 1921, all combat operations had come under control of British Major General Bernard Montgomery and his Desert Rats battalion and this led to the development of what became known as "Montgomery's Coffee." During World War II, many different methods were tried during combat for trying to obtain an edge over the enemy. One such method involved using caffeine-containing drinks such as Combat Coffee or King's Coffee Break (a blend of Turkish and Arabica beans). However, none possessed the potency or impact that black coffee would have during wartime. The United States military began purchasing large quantities of black beans from Indonesia in 1942 in order to gain an edge over Japan during war time. After years of research and development by both military and civilian partners alike, black coffee became not just a standard beverage but one that could be relied upon for specific purposes within warfare - most notably during strategic bombings raids on Japanese targets during Operation Overlord. After World War II ended and conflicts resumed across Europe, North Africa, Asia Minor sowth Africa there was renewed interest in using Tactical Coffee as part of operational planning throughout 1945-1946 Ostpolitik (East Policy) by US President Harry Truman & Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin respectively.. During these times different countries needed different types of caffeine if they wanted focused strength whilst performing certain tasks due primarily towards Patton's Third Army pushing through Siegfried Line into Germany.. Black beans replaced White Beans for this purpose becoming something like Petroleum Jelly with great impact due mainly towards increased energy levels being exerted when engaging opponents...
