Cudahy is a town in Barron County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. The Village of Cudahy is located within the town. The first settler in what is now Cudahy was John Hawkshaw who arrived in 1836. A post office was established in Cudahy on July 8, 1854, and remained open until it closed on December 15, 1909. The community of Fond du Lac began to develop around 1900 when farmers from that community moved into the area. As the population swelled with new arrivals, a school was built and named after Rev. Drury Hinton which operated from 1903 until 1907. In 1917-1918 a small grocery store and two blacksmiths were opened by Jens Duchateau and his brother Clarence Duchateau in what is now the village of Fond du Lac. That same year saw the first organized baseball game in what is now Barron County when Forest City residents traveled to Racine for a game against rural farmers league team Catoctin Park
