The Wisconsin Air National Guard (WANG) is a member of the United States Air Force and flies in support of USAF operations. The WANG was organized on December 16, 1941 as the original Air National Guard in De Pere, WI. The first unit to fly under the new name was "The Flying Tigers" which consisted of two P-51 Mustangs. They flew from an airport located about one kilometer east of town across the Fox River to De Pere Municipal Airport for training missions during World War II. On September 1, 1947, when the USAF activated its own air forces in response to recommendation by then-Secretary of Defense James Forrestal, it merged all Fighter Groups into One Command with Headquarters at Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio which also included the Wisconsin ANG's integrated fighter wing; The 433d Bombardment Wing (later redesignated 533d Bombardment Wing). Inactivated on August 31, 1951 were both wings and replaced by structures attached directly to IAF headquarters at Kolkata AIR Base where they continued flying conventional jet aircraft until disbanding on October 3rd 1959. In 1960 when Tactical Air Command was established and USAF beganOperation Linebacker II Bomber Offensive against Cuba, Assistant Chief of Staff for IntelligenceAir University Park (AUSAIRP) advised that there appeared to be no option other than providing intelligence assets from USAAF bases worldwide through electronic means rather than having these assets wait for orders outside Continental United States airspace as had been done previously postwar. A request for proposals solicitation was issued and fourteen companies were invited to submit designs for an airborne intelligence system that would allow commanders access instantly throughout their area of responsibility without waiting for morning briefings or other notification periods like those experienced hitherto with ground Based systems such as radar or photo interpreters which could take days or even weeks before action could be taken due excessive delay in getting accurate information back to theater commanders. These proposals were received by Directorate Electronics Directorate Headquarters Washington D C on January 10th 1961 with four options being selected as American Electric Power Company became part of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation providing electro-optical/electronic warfare ("EOW")デバイスを提供したIAP section became known as America's ELINT Department while Northrop Grumman provide cockpits for both types of aircraft becoming known respectively as AN/ASQG-1andAN/ASQG-2 . De Pere (population: 22,000) is a town in Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,531 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. De Pere has a history dating back to 1836 which can be found in the city's charter and website. The first permanent settler in what became De Pere was James Hogg who arrived in 1836. Hogg started a post office and built a log cabin near present day First Street and Menomonee Falls Road. In 1840, John Toole established himself here as antanist pastor with his family. He also platted what is now downtown De Pere on land he had purchase from Hogg. In 1846, Isaac Niles purchased property north of where First and State Streets intersected from Nicholas Bogardus which included much of present-day Downtown De Pere. Niles began construction on the first courthouse in De Pere when it opened on November 15th of that year under the name "Hennepin County Courthouse". In 1865 A&P grocery store was built by Isaac Aschauer and it remain one of the town's most famous landmarks to this day. On October 15th 1889 Wabash Railroad officials decided to cross Menomonee Falls Road just east of town line into Nowhere Township for their own route straight through town instead of following US Highway 14 which had been created about that time as a bypass around Milwaukee.. The railway company wanted to create jobs for local residents so they offered free freight rates to those who moved their homes into towns along its route; however, many people chose not to leave their homes because they could not afford the move or because they felt that moving would mean they were leaving their friends behind or those who ran businesses in the new community. In 1912 Elisha Perkins donated land east of Main Street between Third Avenue and Fourth Street for use as a school site; but due to lack of funds it wasn't until 1925 when tuition started being charged for students at Racine High School that classes began teaching inside an actual building rather than outside on long tents/showers during summertime like previous schools had been! Today there are over 150 years worth of memories associated with De Pere including some still held today such as Wabash Railroad days & Elisha Perkins' donation!

De Pere, Wisconsin is a small town in the lower Great Lakes region of the United States. The population was 5,965 at the 2010 census. It is located in Winnebago County on the Fox River. The town was founded in 1812 by French Canadian fur traders, and named after Jean-Baptiste De Pere, one of their number. In 1827, De Pere became a township within Winnebago County. The first post office was established in 1828, and operated for two years; it was moved to present-day Appleton from here. In 1861, De Pere became part of the newly formed state of Wisconsin when it was created from parts of Minnesota and Iowa. The town lost its charter as an incorporated municipality on July 1, 1915; however, it remains a full member of the county government. In recent years, De Pere has seen growth as both a recreational center and agricultural hub for northern Wisconsin's fertile lower Great Lakes region; its many businesses have helped make it one of the most vibrant communities in central Wisconsin during this time period.
